Worst trip of my life

I've never posted a review of one of my trips before and as you can probably tell from my post count, I've only just registered here but after what I experienced tonight I felt compelled to share this with other people online.

Firstly a bit of background on me - I'm 23 and I've been smoking weed for a solid 7 years now. I am considered in my circle of friends, a veteran at smoking. I will generally smoke up around 5 nights a week and sometimes every night.

Tonight on Tuesday the 19th of June was the worst trip of my life. I had just smoked one cone (through a bong) of our regular hydro weed and at this point a was barely feeling it. My friend mentioned that he had some legal weed called "XXX" similar to K2. I packed a cone and pulled it in one and within 5 minutes of pulling the cone i was paralyzed in my chair. I still had my eyes open and could move my head around but no other muscles in my body were able to move. I saw my friends talking to each other and I couldn't understand a word they were saying. I heard the sounds coming out of their mouth but it made no sense to me, almost as if it were another language.

Soon enough everything started to look sort of like it was made out of clay and i found myself fighting the trip. I constantly kept trying to snap out of it but every time kept coming back to the point where I couldn't do anything. I could feel my heart racing and my breath getting shorter. My vision became more and more hazey and i felt myself becoming unsteady even as i sat there.

This is when shit started to get REAL. By now I had blacked out and fallen off my chair but my mind was a million miles away. At this point you've got to understand that what I felt right now is indescribable. It was the most vivid and real thing I have experienced in my life. It felt like my mind was being ripped into pieces by two equally strong and increasing forces. The best way I can describe these forces in my mind is the static you get from a TV with no reception with the black and white dots. I've attached a pic if you don't know what I'm talking about. These two forces were constantly inflicting pain on me somehow and were also taking up all of my concentration. My mind could literally not wander from concentrating purely on these two forces. The pain was so intense now that i thought "ok this must be what the worst pain in the world is like" but just when i thought that, it got ten times worse again. And this cycle would continue for what felt like an eternity getting worse and worse and continuing to do so without any mercy. I've done LSD before and this would not even rate on the same scale. This was genuinely the hardest trip of my life. For those of you who believe in Heaven and Hell, I honestly believe I experienced Hell. What I felt in this moment, I would not wish on my worst enemy.

When I woke, which was only 5 minutes after I had blacked out I was dizzy and had a splitting headache. My brain was literally hurting. My friends told me I had blacked out and started convulsing and writhing in pain on the floor. I was trying to piece together what had happened but all I could think of was the static image which was ingrained into my mind. After lying there for a bit I was able to stand and recover but not before vomiting a few times for good measure.

After a while I was feeling almost back to normal. As normal as you can be after having a life changing trip.

So I did a bit of reading on legal weed I found that there has been similar reported cases of blackouts and cardiac infarctions in people as young as 16 and a death of someone at the age of 19. If you want more info on these cases, please read this blog.

From what they know about these kind of drugs (which is still quite limited) it can be caused by the chemical known as "JWH-018".

Lastly I'd just like to say - My intention of this post is not to put people off weed or even legal alternatives but to be aware of the risks associated especially with legal weed. I'd smoked legal weed on several occasions before this and if you tried to tell me that i was going to trip like I did, I would have laughed at you. I'm sure that the majority of legal weed out there wouldn't cause a trip like this but if you're unlucky enough like me to have a trip like this, it will stick with you for the rest of your life and its definitely not something you want.

I like the natural stuff. I've read many reports of people having bad experiences with the legal highs.

So fucking stupid, good for you and natural marijuana is illegal, but seizure causing fake weed and face-eating-inducing bathsalts can be bought at gas stations. WTF????

yeah makes no sense that spice shit can actually kill you but weed is illegal because its safe?

I've also tried it before and didnt like it and had a bad trip.. its just not for me
