some of the smaller leaves on my flowering ladies have started to turn purple? sounds a good thing but im sure it isnt. although i dont no the strain somethings up.
the pic is 20 days flowering and zoomed in so appologies for the quality.
my last grow did this on 1 plant and lost a lot of leaves, they didnt exactly die like dry out/shrivel up or anything. they were just very loosly attached.

ph is ok at about 6.5, temps are good at around 21 and humitity is fine. im growing in soil and they have had 3 feeds of floraseries bloom nutes so far.

    any ideas?

    thanks in advance.

i heard that when they start to turn purple it's because they have mold... but i don't know if it's just the buds or the whole plant :s

    could be multiple things
stems turning purple could be a sign of stress, it also happens when it's cold(outside you often get purple stems especially in the beginning of the season)
but it could also just be the strain/phenotype

temps are ok and they've been inside flowering for nearly 3 weeks. could well be stress as the only one turning purple is the one i have been training.
    hopefully shes a purple strain!

    thanks man.

The leaf stem turning purp might just be the pheno or it could be a little streesed...My plants are going thru hell right now and their branches were purple man, I mean PURPLE! almost the all the way too the main stem The healthier they became though the more the green started to come back. A little strees most likley if all other things are sound brother. No worries:thumbsup:

Btw bro--they look nice and healthy, buds are coming right along. very nice

Nothing more to add except that your plants look a-okay

ah well, only 5-6 weeks left to keep my fingers crossed.

oh, did some google searching last night n looks like it might be a pottassium deficiency? any one ever had that before?

Very sensative...Pain in the ass sensative soometimes,,
Yes and yes on the K def. I sometimes get a K def or Phos def during flower. Not this flower though cause of the pure Organics I think?. A mild NPK maight help. That is the only thing I remember doing to solve my problem. I personally get nervous when the branches take on the red or purple though, not the leaf stem.,.K defs and phosphorus defs are pretty notorious red liners. Again,.. get some info on your pheno or history of the strain in itself and see if it is a normal thing. Some purps rock a red stem while others are true green. Just my 2 cents:thumbsup:

id go with stress but i would`nt worry either too much iff its only ur fan leaves stems unless it starts to proper spread around all ur plant, ive flowered a crop that was well purple stems , trunks everything with good results, no worries man ,but that was a clone and they can take a little more stress me thinks

Yeah don't worry about it, the fan leaves will start to fall off soon anyway. Adding some seaweed extract to your feed would help with any stress.

the only thing aside from jsut stress alone is as you said the (k) pot. def. in your case they look fine though for future problems dunno exactly how helpful it would be but look into finding the table of def. in Ed Rosenthal's marijuana handbook extremely helpful info
