Whats up guys. I'm fairly new to smokin weed, and i've got a bit of a problem already. The first time i smoked with my friend I didn't feel anything, which i was kinda expecting. Then the next time I smoked by my self at my house i attempted a wake n bake. I hit a waterfall bong out of a 2 liter Dr. pepper bottle and a socket. I hit it about 4 times and i felt funny.... But it didn't feel like enough yet. So i hit it again and holy F*** the high hit me like a train filled with concrete. My eyes drooped down, my body felt like an elephant was sitting on me. I seriously couldn't move i was couch locked to the extreme. Then I started to have a panic attack. My breathing was rapid and i felt like i just couldn't breath at all. My heart started beating a million BPM. I felt like i was dieing. I was close to calling 911 or somethin i was seriously so scared. But I held myself together and was just like "dude it's just weed" you're not dieing. But nothing worked I still felt like i was just about to have a heart attack. I wanna smoke and be able to enjoy a nice good feeling high like my friends but i'm too scared this will happen again. Any advice or tips on how to not let this happen? I appreciate it in advance
=) It happens to the best of us. The next time, try having a good friend/sober sitter there to help you out if you start freaking out. My first time, I freaked out too. I thought I was asleep, because being high felt like being in a dream. (I guess) I'm proud that you told yourself "It's just weed". That's the key to keeping oneself calm when a bad high/trip looms. Here's a quick reference guide to a fun weed experience: Take it slow. When you're new to the game, it's difficult to judge how many hits are right for you. When you have enough time, take a hit, wait a few minutes, and take another. If you give yourself time, you'll notice when you'll need to stop. Play your favorite music. Something happy and chill really sets the mood. Do something fun, like watching cartoons or reading comics online. It's hard to be scared when you're laughing If you do feel like it's too much....remember that it will pass, and nothing bad will happen to you. Distract yourself and you'll forget about it soon enough. As for the heart attack thing...it is alarming at first, but your heart probably pumps as fast or faster when exercising :} Good luck! Another thing I forgot to mention...when I first started smoking, it took around ten minutes for the weed to kick in. I don't know if that happens to everyone in the beginning, but to be safe, make those hits 10 minutes apart. =)
You got to take it slow learn how much you can intake at first. When I first started to smoke sometimes I would get scared just for a sec and then it would pass.

I find that marijuana experience is entirely dependent upon expectations, just like any other psychoactive. Try to feel good about things. If you find yourself nervous, pet the cat or the dog, listen to music, talk to comforting friends or family, one's that can be accepting and nonjudgmental if somehow they know you're high
