I have an apartment where I go to college (I'll leave the name out), and all the buildings in my apartment complex are on a street of their own, there are no other students, the road is a dead end, and it seems like the perfect place to live in school- close enough to downtown, but away from everything. I've only been here for a month, and I assumed that we were kind of invincible to any legal issues. I was WRONG. As I was walking down the hall to a party in my building last weekend, I was surprised to find 4 police officers standing two doors down from my place with a battering ram screaming, "POLICE. WE HAVE A SEARCH WARRANT, OPEN THE DOOR." In only a few seconds, the door was broken through and the cops were in. 2 more officers were on the back balcony (a balcony runs behind the building on a 3rd floor that can only be accessed by one door in each apartment) guarding to make sure no one left that way. After an hour of anxiously awaiting the police to leave so I could start drinking (not 21 yet), we saw all of the residents in that apartment leaving in handcuffs. They were all caught selling weed, and this sting was as legit as it could be. I'm not much of a religious person, but I was supposed to be fronted some weed to sell up here because the business is so good; but now, thanks to seeing all that go down, there's NO way I'm selling shit! I was even a little paranoid to smoke that night...but of course, I did anyway. Any similar stories?
I used to live in apartment complexes where I would smoke and have people over to smoke every night. One night we were nearing the end of a large smoke session when I hear sirens from outside and my friend runs in and says "Dude, the cops are outside"! I jumped up and ran to the window to see 3 fire engines and multiple rescue vehicles. It turned out that someone down the hall had a fire, but still quite a shock. Another story is one my dealer at the time told me. He was sleeping when one morning he went into his living room and opened the blinds only to be met face to face with swat surrounding his apartment complex armed to the teeth with M16s etc. The police came into the complex and arrested someone but it turned out to be a situation where the person needed to be surrounded by M-16's. A man in the apartment above him had kidnapped a 3 year old girl and was holding her there.
similar story? yes, but not near as dramatic. had a small apartment in atwater,ca in the early 80s. happened to come home one day at the same time as a neighbor was being put in a squad car. later found out through his wife that he was arrested on conspireing to grow marijuana charges. no plants, just lights, a book and some pots. never did find out what happened to him.
only thing I hasd was when walking to the train I wanted to go trough the side-entrance/exit, then I saw a copcar standing there(is there often) so I took the frontentrance-exit of the station(I think I was wearing my marioanashirt too and just came from the coffeeshop)
My friend told me this story. Back sometime ago in the 70's or 80's a friend of mine was on a back gravel road and he was rollin a J. Well, all of a sudden he heard a TAP TAP TAP on the window. He looks up and there was a cop at the window. So he rolls it down and the cop asks him whattcha doin? He replyed just up here chillin and coppin a feel. He shined his light at the girl next to him and the cop said ok, just turn your lights on so people can see you. He said Yes sir and did and the cop took off. And all the while he had a ounce of weed sittin in his lap, workin on a j and the cop just had to shine his light in his lap, but didn't.
see that's what I mean. no runins with police (well except the ticket I got for riding without bikelight in at morning...)
