Ooook...My bf and I got some seeds, planted a few just to see what would happen. We have some cheap plant grow light and I know it's not what I'm supposed to be using but yeah we're supppperrr broke and thoguht we'd just give it a try anyway...

anyway, one of the 3 plants survived and is doing good, but I don't know the usual size/amount of leaves it's supposed to have.. it's about a month old, we're doing the 16/8 lighting and have a fan.. it's just in our closet... also use a spray bottle to water with a diluted amnt of miracle grow nutrients nitrogen heavy...

so far it's got it's first leaves, second set of leaves that are getting bigger, and third set of leaves.. anddd some itty bitty 4th leaves. My question is, does it look okay for the age that it is?

Keep in mind that I'm not trying to make this a super serious grow... we live in a tiny apt and are trying to keep it well hidden... this is like our first grow ever so we're just getting the hang of it.. we're moving so it won't flower before we move but yeah, I know the pics are shitty but my camera sucks and is literally glued together I'm lucky it even TAKES pics anymore but yes any suggestions orrr reassurements that it looks ok, thanks!

don't make fun of me! i'ma broke ass nursing student working full time haha

I first started with the light closer and it fried the other 2 plants so that's why it's further away. I could bring it down some more I just worry that it's gonna fry this one too.

Lights are at 18/6, the soil does drain well, only watering when the soil is crusty/dry-ish, it does have perlite in it and there are holes in the bottom... I don't know the ph.. but the temperature has always been between 78-82 constantly. Thanks :) I don't think this is going to produce much IF it even gets to that point haha OR if it's a male but I'm just a better hands on- do it- try it learner lol. Thanks again! I really appreciate it.

They should be further along at 3-4 weeks, even with cheap fluoros. Fluoros don't burn plants unless it gets real hot in the grow area. What kind of lights are you using?

I agree with everyone else. The light needs to be closer to the plant. as close as you can get it without it making the back of your hand super warm at the top of the plants. Also I understand that your broke. I am too! lol but if you could save 5 or 6 bucks a week and buy two or three 42 watt cfl in the 6500k light spectrum it would really make a difference. Then when flowering time comes add about 3 or 4 42 watt 2700k spectrum CFL's and pick up a ph test kit from your local garden supply. probably 6 or 7 bucks. You will be smoking quality bud before you know it:) I hope this helps a little with growing on the cheap.

    Keep it smoking!

I've done a lot of small fluoro grows. You won't get huge buds, but you'll have buds on a regular basis. Growin your own's where it's at!

Okay everyone... thanks so much for all your input but I have terrible news lol. MY MOTHERFUCKING CAT ATE MY MOTHERFUCKING PLANT. this is the second time he's done this. I was studying for an exam like a lunatic and didn't know that my son went into our room and opened the closet door to look at the "bean plant" lol andddd the cat went in and chomped right down... we are going to try to grow when we move, that way we can have a better grow area with better everything all around. Thank you all so much! ha :)
