    First ever hempfest held in Yakima County was cancelled due to not having the proper fire permit....This event was held in Grandview Washington....Hundreds were turned away Sunday after the event was cancelled...
    The organizers are planning a new event soon..

    yea it is, but i was one of the few who stayed, it made the local news and several of us were interviewed....saw it on the web last night, the closure made the MSNBC web site, so not all was lost

    Oh then thats great. Guess someone got stoned and forgot to get a permit haha They coulda at least let the co-oridinators know this before hand though

    The coordinators had all the permits, the TV crew was shown the proper permits...the Sheriff showed up at midnight prior to the event informing that the it was cancelled...his reasoning was no fire permit...
