Oh what a great day. Light came in and is set up and running. :) Initiated flowering, threw that HPS bulb in. It's already about two feet tall. I can't have it getting too tall.

They're on their way. I didn't get one day shipping with em. I was focused on this sexy light. ;p

Got a cutting on the shelf hoping it roots, few pics of plant, and light.

Now I have my bagseed on my CFL they sprouted at the right time. Gonna have a small SOG goin on.

I went with foxfarm. All I can hear is great things about it.

My HPS is 400 watts, I figured it would work fine for 1-2 plants.

That sounds like a great idea. I'm gonna do that now. Thanks!

Hey I just noticed that my plant is suckin water down a little too fast (I think at least). I watered it until water ran from the bottom about 16 hours ago. I just noticed that it is only a little damp right now and will be dry 2 inches down in a few hours. Is this too fast or just this HPS doing its work and the plant drinking that much?

Also, my tips have always been bad just because of proximity with CFLS and the use of foil (no longer using with HPS). But now I believe they are getting a little worse, but then again I may just be trippin. Gonna give it a day or two before I make my final judgement, but I'm just wondering if my proximity to the plant it too close? It is just about two feet away and if I put my hand at the top of the plant I feel little to no heat from the light. I have a 10 inch fan and it blows the air okay out of my closet through a crack in the door and I leave the other side (that the plant is nearest to) open quite a bit more just to let the air circulate a little better.

This bastard is putting a lot more heat off than I anticipated. First sight of HPS in action first hand.

Okay, so there's pistils on every preflower, and damn near whereever it V's in the stems. But where I FIM'd it, there is two symmetrical male-looking things, and only there. Maybe it's just gonna be a massive pistil and the delicious hairs haven't shot out yet, they have only been there for a day.

I'll post back in a day or two if nobody confirms anything, oh and I got my Tiger Bloom. HUGE SMILE ON MY FACE. ;2bongs

Oh wow. FoxFarm's Tiger Bloom was certainly a great choice. The new nodes that have grown since I fed (two days ago) have grown so close together and bushy. This baby is gonna be so delicious. Here's a few pics taken just before her bedtime tonight. ;potsign

BTW: The two male-lookin things turned out to in fact be pollen balls. I searched the entire plant, every crevasse, and noticed that where I FIM'd it was the only part of the plant with any........So I cut those mothafuckas off. Whether it was a good choice or not, forgive me I panicked. Haha. Still got pistils on every other section of the plant. Growing quite large but not large enough for my shitty 3GS camera.

You think she's outgrowin' it? I was banking on keepin' in this her whole life. What's the minimum measurements for a healthy soil girl?

Oh and shiiiiiit I can tell this stuff gonna be stankin'. Every day the smell gets stronger and stronger. No carbon filter though I'm taking a chance. My complete amateur setup limited me from getting negative pressure in the damn room. Definitely gonna have a tent next grow.

    Got an okay close-up.
