does quick fix still work?

i recently used quick fix synthetic urine on a drug test. i got away with it clean, but now i've got people telling me they can test for fake urine now, and im anxiously awaiting the results. soem reassurance would be fantastic.

The short answer is - if the manufacturer didn't make a crap batch and if you make sure the temperature of the sample is within range there is no common testing performed that I'm aware of which would reveal a sample is "pre-made".
The long answer:
Urine goes through four to five steps to determine whether it's a valid sample. First off, at the collection site, they will check to see if the sample is within the normal temperature range (90-100f). If it's not, you will have to give another sample immediately, and it may be required that the next collection be observed (certainly for DOT, possibly for nonDOT tests depending on your companies policy). If it's within normal range then when it arrives at the lab they will test for pH, adulterants (such as nitrites) and creatinine. If both of these are fine, the validity testing ends there and presumably with manufactured urine, the immunoassay tests will also be negative so you'll be home free. If the creatinine value is less than 20mg/dL the lab will also test for specific gravity (a measure of liquid density in relation to that of distilled water). Depending on that value combined with the creatinine concentration, possible outcomes (from good to bad) go from Normal, Dilute, Invalid and Substituted. Dilute and Invalid are potentally bad news as the company may require you to take another test at a later time, which if nothing else means more hassle and expense for you if you choose to use another bottle of synthetic. Also, if the result is Invalid, the collection may well be observed which (if done correctly) will eliminate your opportunity to use another bottle. Substituted is considered a Refusal to submit to the test and will most likely carry the same consequences as an outright fail.

chemically, synthetic is supposedly the same as urine right? but the synthetic was completely odorless. that's honestly what has me freaked the most.

You're fine man, don't worry about it. I have passed using this stuff. Nobody is going to sniff your whiz. If they do, then more power to them. I guess they outsmarted you.

I also have an upcoming UA with Quest Diagnostics.. I took one a couple years ago and took that Omni Drink crap.. My piss was neon green and needless to say I failed... I even followed the instructions down to the letter.

I've been reading and hearing a lot about Quick Fix and I was wondering..

1.) Should I urinate into the toliet and fill the sample cup with the QF at the same time? (to avoid any suspicious sounds)

2.) Do they check the color of your urine in the toilet and compare it to your sample..? If not, then why do they ask you not to flush?

3.) Is there any other advice or tips anyone can offer? I'm completely and totally stressed out about getting this job.. Especially now that the economy is absolutely f*cked up.. I need it now more than ever.

I have been abstaining for about 2 weeks.. but I was an everyday smoker bout 2-3 bowls of stress a day.. (chronic when I could afford it) I'm 5'6' and 110 lbs, with a very high metabolism. (Can't gain weight even if I try..) Also, I'm somewhat of an alcoholic, in the sense that every time I smoke, I'm almost always drinking as well..

4.) Last question, Does Alcohol have any effect on keeping your system clean..? As they both go to your liver, does the alcohol have any kind of flushing effect on the thc..?

I am no stranger to Quest Diagnostics.

I've tested there two or three times as a matter of fact. If the facility in your town is similar to the one here in OKC then you should be fine. They do not observe you here. They have you wash your hands, then empty your pockets. You have complete privacy while you "piss"

1. They're not going to have their ear to the door listening to the sound of your stream. Don't sweat it.

2. You can piss in the toilet if you want, but you dont have to. They can't make a comparison of urine sample vs toilet sample, because naturally the piss in the toilet will be a lighter than the sample. They never questioned me. They tell you not to flush because there is a chemical put in the water that prevents you from using the water to dilute your sample.

3. This is all you need.
Relax, as long as you use as directed you will pass. I wouldn't put the heating pad/sample in your pocket though. I just strapped mine to my thigh. Try and act normal. Read a magazine in the lobby and just be cool.

4. Not really sure about this one, but since you are using fake urine, I don't see the relevance.

PLEASE READ!! Everyone needs to be aware of what testing is done at the lab you go to. After reading this thread and others I decided to try subbing and got f@!@#. I read the posts that said they don't test for Uric Acid but they must have. I am from Portland, Oregon and just did a test at Legacy Metrolab. I followed the directions on my Quick Fix 5.7 to the dot. Heated the bottle in the microwave for 10 seconds, it was at 98 degrees, then put the little hotties heat pad on the bottle with the rubber band. Went to the lab to test and everything went well. My results? Sample result: INVALID. Sample comments: INVALID RESULT: Abnormal Pyhsical & Chemical Characteristics which may include: no uric acid, no urine odor, and no foaming.

Ive passed dozens of DTs at Metrolabs Portland facility using different brands of synthetic pee. Im constantly taking random tests for my job and always have a bottle of syntho pee at hand. Ive used the QF brand for my DT last Thursday 4/01. It was a 10 panel drug with a 7 panel validity test and had no problems at all.

QUESTION: Anyone know if Quick Fix has an experation date? I've had a bottle for close to 2 years now and I might have to use it shortly... any idea if it still works? I have used quick fix on several occasions in the past, but always immidately after purchasing it. It has never let me down. Thanks guys!

I have used quick fix several times and it's worked every time...except last Tuesday! The tests came back yesterday invalid and I was asked to take the test again. When I got to the lab they informed me that this time I had to drop my drawers, do a little turn and fill the cup in front of a murse...I said no and left the office...I'm no longer employed...

i have heard about the smell and foaming issues ALOT lately.

i may be getting a job with my City, and i can bet its NOT going to be a panel test.

the quick fix works great for sloppy labs and panel tests..

but once this stuff gets put under some heavy tests, u get the invalid due to odor and foaming...

im pretty freaked out and im NOT willing to play with fire here..

we need some more insight due to the odor and foaming issues, because this is a big deal and becoming more and more common...

cause you re heat it more than once? cause i heated it thinking i was going to have to take a test but ended up getting a mouth swab and finger prints done insted.

and another thing was when i heated it up i didnt remove the cap or shake it, but have not put it into sampling yet, would that mess up the synthetic at all? I still have it so I can do it right this time but im hoping that did not effect it in any way

Nope- I JUST failed a drug test from Pac Labs for pre-employment - came back as not human urine. Now I'm totally fuct. Thanks for nothing Quick Fix 5.7!

Pac Labs in what state? Would you mind posting your batch number and also did it come with a little vial with two white balls to be mixed in the urine sample before substituting it?

Did you have the correct temperature?
Did it fail because of lack of uric acid or any other reason you know?

Alright you have me pretty paranoid now! I WAS planning on using quik fix to pass a dt. it sounds like all of you who failed were appyling for jobs at labs. Now before i ask this, i understand no-one may know the answer but, I am applying for an electrical job at a brewery. Do you think i will be givien a basic test (one that quik fix can pass) or do you think the specimen will be scrutinized like im assuming the ones who failed were.

Im kind of leaning towards dilluting now, but i am getting ahead of myself since om goin in for an interview and not the actual drug test. Im gunna smoke for the last time tonight and maybe by the time the test comes ill be clean, but if quik fix is failing and im not clean, i think ill have to dilute. sweet

If time is on your side you should definitely dilute. I would be quite skeptical reading drug test failure anecdotes from members with only 1 post on this site. You gotta look at the reputation of who writes what on forums. Good luck brethren.

Are you suggesting that people are purposely lying about the results? Thats terrible. I geuss thats the downside to being able to write whatever you want. So are you saying, in your opinion, im good to go with quik fix?

I googled the hell out of this and found lots of stuff. but every now and then there would be a post that it didnt work. whether it was expired or there was a bad batch, or the specific gravity was way off. I guess ill have to go back and check but im willing to bet that those posts were the only posts those people made (rival company perhaps). Those sneaky bastards! But it doesnt change my paranoia, somebody said it didnt work and its hard to bet a job on something you bought online.

btw, what is going on in your icon of the little boy. It looks like he's shaking a wiener on his hip.
