Conversion bulb

    I have a 400 watt M59 metal halide ballast, it came with everything I need to grow with it. I got this for $30 MH bulb included so I couldn't pass it up, I want to know if anyone knows anything about M59's and if conversion bulbs can be used in it. I found THIS ONE .....has anyone here had experience with this?

    They make 400w bulbs for 400w ballasts. Stick with a reputable brand and use HPS all the way.

    As mazarxnl said in your grow log, ya need a 400w bulb for a 400w ballast.

    Ok, well im just gonna get rid of the MH system and buy a HPS like I should have in the first place.

    You can use a conversion bulb, but it's up to you. You could use the mh for veg. and the con. hps for flower. Good combo. Ultimately it's up to you.

    I agree...however I would go with the better Sunmaster bulb. Its all about the spectrum and I believe you get what you pay for.
