Cannabis Olive Oil

    Hello there my dear stoners!

    I'm new here, and I would appreciate if someone is capable to answer this following question. Recently, I made a cannabis olive oil for my grandmother because she is in a lot of pain, in her legs precisely. She has problems with hypertension and I don't plan to put it on food because of that. So, my question is, will the cannabis oilve oil work if I apply it on her legs without ingestion? Anyone tried this method?

    I don't know man...I've always associated oils with edibles...Most tinctures seem to be either alcohol or food grade vegetable glycerin based at the start of preparation...

    I'm leaving a link for the best olive oil extraction method I've ever seen...It's been a while since I watched this video and I can't remember if the lady,"Doctor Diane" who makes it mentions if it can be used as a tincture...I'm about to get ready for work and don't have time to poke around tincture recipes right now,but will do so later...

    Thank you so much for the useful information man! I already made the olive oil and I'm waiting for the process of maceration. What I did basically was put 5 grams of weed inside a bottle of extra virgin olive oil (1 liter) and I have to shake the bottle once a week for 6 weeks in total, and leave it in a dark place. I'd love to know if it really works, if I apply it on her skin, so she could gain some relief in that specific area. I guess the only way to know this is to try it anyway.

    Cool man,fingers crossed for you...

    However,from what I've read,you've made the salad dressing for the appetizer of a 420 type dinner...I strongly suggest that you check out the many tincture recipes that are online...

    if you make it with a similar process as cannabutter I think it will work, hashoil also works externally, and with hashoil also a solvent is used to extract the cannabinoids but with hashoil(like BHO) the solvent is evaporated
    so with canna-olive oil you will need more of it since it's less concentrated

    but if you make it with a technique without heating it won't work well, since most of the thc is present in the raw plant matter as acids, these need to go trough decarboxylation to transform into the active form that can get you high/have effect on you
    decarboxylation happens with heating, wich is why you don't have to heat weed before smoking or vaping since the smoking or vaping heats it enough
    when making edibles you first heat it when making the cannabutter and a second time when baking the edibles
    with BHO(hashoil with butane used as solvent) you can make it without boiling off since butane evaporates easily, in that case it will only work when smoking/vaping or when you first heat it
    the hashoil rick simpson uses is made with napta, wich needs heating to evaporate, and it is decarboxylated making it effective externally and with ingestion without heating(putting a drop of oil i your mouth for example)
