I have a video i put together of the 420 events in denver, and pretty much documented the 420 weekend JDR had. But i cant get the 30 minute video below a gig. im at 1.4 gigs now with an MPEG-4 and 1.8 with an MPEG-2. My AVI file of the video is 6GB so ill just assume thats too large.

Ive searched and searched. I found a site called VEOH but the upload program isnt doing jack squat.

Can a get a hand yo? Any suggestions.

I got a vid for peeps to watch, but no way to bring it to yah.

Im an audio guy! What'ya expect!! lol.

that does seem a bit large for that length tho, what program are you using for the rendering¿

piece of junk power director pro. the rendering is horrid.

i was trying to avoid the three part situation. i found a site that allows for 800MB uploads. but i think that file is too big too. any ideas how to get it smaller? any chance i could transfer it to you and see what you can do?

what are you saving your files as?

my 1 hour .mp4 file is 280 megs.

you would probably be better off downloading a trial version of some quality software and using that to render the video. you uploading a 6gig file would take a few days

what quality is the mp4? i just saw a new option i never saw before. its like a psp mpeg2 file. its called SVCD.

i just dl the trial for sony vegas 8 and already i feel like an idiot for trying to produce a nice vid on some half-assed program. i should know better than that. i might re-do the whole thing depending on how it all looks...

the small file i made is almost uploaded to VEOH, but im not sure the quality.

but what was your file name and details that you save to, quality wise?

With a file size that big, you'd probably need to have your own server to host it on, or have someone host it for you on theirs. I'd help, but my servers are... well, kinda adult-oriented. ^_^; Wouldn't want the wrong crowd finding its way to my sites.

when rendering, in the "save as type" field, select the main concept avc/aac mp4
click "custom" and there in the project tab, select "best" for video rendering quality.
in the video tab you can customize the frame size and other things as such. i typically use a 720x480 size

for now here it is. you have to watch an ad, lame im selling for someone else, but ah well its well worth the large file hosting. and until i can get vegas to unfreeze, lol, ill try to mix down something new. i think the powerdirector pro funked up the audio and video file and theres no time code to catch onto, which shouldnt be an issue but, i havent figured it out yet. i might end up making something all new after the move. new places always produce cool creative vibes.

all in all i had serious issues with the program i was using to render. the vid turned out decent. nothing id have someone pay for. and WOW, has video changed since i got out of school 5 years ago.

I enjoyed that too jdr, looked like a good day!! You guys are lucky to have days like that, the attitude on cannabis is so draconian over here it does my head in, i dont even think that they'll use it for medicinal over here ever, or for at least a very very long time.
