You crazy gamers. I do remember the first GTA, that shit was fun. Me playing later versions of GTA is like watching a crazed squirrel do algebra blindfolded while singing the battle hymn of the republic. Also while being hungry. Very hungry.

Agreed. GTA is fucking good. Sometimes I wish I could get a recorder for my XBox so I can tape all the weird shit I've done in the game. Also I just got the 'One Man Army' Achievement, which is to survive six stars for 5 minutes or so. 40 Gamerpoints, and I wasn't even trying.

there are ways to record, either install a capture card to your pc, allowing you to record whatever is on your tv screen.... or there are sites like gamevee.com which allowed you to record the same way, but unfortunatly their "grab" tool is down atm, i'm waiting for it to come back so i can make a halo machinima series (like "Red v Blue" or "the codex"), but i might just bite the bullet and fork out for a capture card.

Can someone help me? Im not a big fan of games/consoles, I Love playing games but for some reason since ps2 i didnt really have the time/money to upgrade and kinda lost track of the whole video games thing. But now the new gta is out i feel its wrong being sat at home looking at my ps2 wishing it was somthing better just so i can play this game, I loved all the other gta's and i basicly NEED this one in my life. Anyway, My question is, What should i buy (giving that im only really buying a console for gta) An Xbox 360, Or a ps3? I could get a ps3 for £300 but that would take a bit more saving up, making it longer before i can afford a volcano, Or an xbox for £150, I dont know anything about ps3's and xbox'es, Is an xbox cheaper cos the ps3 is better?? Also, the Xbox console on its own cost £199, but the "arcade pack" which contains the console, Wireless controller, and 5 games is only £150?! Why is that?!

wait till october and get the PC version dude im doin the same thing i dont really want either of the new consoles they are way too expensive the games are overpriced and not that great the graphics area great but the gameplay often times sucks badly. i could care less about nice looking graphics i just want a game that is fun to play. i have ps2 also i have every GTA game ever made so i have to get this too but im getting it for PC because i dont want to pay a fortune to play a game when i already have a great computer with an awesome graphics card.

I would go with the PS3, its more expensive because of the blu-ray dvd player it comes with, the soon to be future of disc's.. Plus it has slightly better graphics i believe, plus GTA was made for the playstation and will always be better on it than the X-Box.. Also to play on the playstation network is free, where xbox live costs a fee..

So get the PS3, and get the cheaper, exclaimed to be the volcano killer vape, the silver surfer, and im sure you can find a cheap used PS3

XBox is the best you can get right now. It has all the best games out, and while it doesn't have a Blu-Ray built in, there is an add on coming if you care about it that much. Also I believe the XBox GTA is the better one, not in the graphics department, but the controls. I could never stand the stupid ass placement of the PlayStations joysticks, they're incredibly awkward to use. But GTA was built for both consoles, so no matter what one you buy you're still gonna get the experience.

But yeah, get an XBox.

Ive never had a problem with the PS3 controller, Id rather sue it the than the 360. I think the analog sticks on it are spaced to far.

And San Andreas was made for both systems and the playstation version was considerable better than the xbox version.

the graphics are actually about the same, you can't tell the difference between consoles on something as beautiful as COD4, and blue-ray has its disadvantages, like it's not backwards compatible (can't play the old ps2 games on it) where as you can play the old xbox games on an xbox360, it's also not without it's problems, more and more reports are surfacing about the blue-ray fuckin up...

also xboxlive is alot better than the ps3 network despite the fact you have to pay for xboxlive...

xbox also has a better range of games imo...

now i haven't actually played a ps3, so all of the above is just what i've HEARD.... apart from the graphics, i've seen videos of them side by side and you can't tell which is which.

actually the ps2 version of san andreas had the worst graphics loading time, with buildings and such appearing out of nowhere, when compared to xbox or PC

yea i agree with ya there the ps2's graphics left something to be desired but the GTA games for ps2 all were originally made for playstation and then ported to other platforms. but i agree with PC you could get some really spectacular graphics with san andreas if you have a good GPU. you could be at any point on the map and be able to pan around at the landscape and see the other cities crystal clearly.

all my original xbox games work on my 360, all you need are updates from microsoft which are downloaded automatically...

the ps3's backwards compatibility was sacrificed for blue-ray, which was the dumbest move sony ever made imo, and it will come back to haunt them at some point...

dont get me wrong here, i know all about the problems that the 360 suffers from, i just got my one back from microsoft with a new dvd-drive and motherboard, but i still believe it's a superiour system compared to the ps3...
