Fuck mass effect, seems to be the overrated game of the year.
JRPG's in general are fine, FFXI is just an abomination because its an mmo version of a story driven series. They're not for everyone, but they're still entertainment yo.

Honestly, I didn't like it much first when I played it, but since I spend money on it I forced my way through, and it definitely ended up being my #1 or 2 single player game of 2007. It's not overrated at all I think, deserves all the praise and I can't wait till 2 and 3. Best RPG next to Oblivion until Fallout 3 (I hope). | |

FFIX was way way worse than VIII. Also, FFVII is still the best of the lot of them, lol.

And everytime i've gotten rid of my ps2 i always get another just so i can play FFX again, imo it has all the elements which make it one of the best games...
X-2 sucked balls tho, i only finished playing that to see the happy ending with Tidus and Yuna (spent 2 days 100%-ing the fucker)...
XI was just gay for being online (not to mention the subscription charge to play the bastard)...
XII just didn't feel like a FF game to me... had elements of like Buldars Gate or Kingdom Hearts about it, more hack and slash than turn based strategy battles, never did finish it, despite the interesting storyline i just couldn't force myself through it...
I'm looking forward to Lost Odyssy tho, from the makers of the FF series, i've heard it's back to the turn based gameplay from FFX

I was judging it for its time.
I have a distinct love for oldschool rpg's though, because they were one of the first types of games I really got into. Before that it was all Prince of Persia and Oregon Trail on the old Macintosh(before mac's were trendy).
