Sorry everyone I've been gone for so long...But it seems that my school thinks that its funny to block sites like these. Anyway, its good to be back. So who's playing Halo 3? Is it worth all the hype?

Its supposed to be a lot of fun, but Bioshock is supposed to be better. I dont have a 360 and I havent gotten a chance to sit down with Halo 3 yet, but I have played Bioshock and it was fricken sweet.
Yeah man, Halo 3 is alot more hype than anything. There are way better FPS's out there. Check out Half life 2 thats coming out and Bioshock. Both 100 times better than Halo.
But i guess if your big into multi player you might just wanna pick up Halo.

halo 3.....not much to say...have played way better games and i think the hype around it gave most of us unrealistic expectations...anywho, not impressed......bioshock is way better...i cant stop playing, for weeks and weeks now....

i dont get what the big deal with halo is people keep saying its the best video game of all time. ive never even played it and i have no interest in ever playing it. so there is no way it can be the best game of all time.
Yes, I can see how you not buying the game has really dented Halo's sales record.
I've played the first two, haven't touched the 3rd yet but I probably will eventually. Halo has an interesting story, but most people claim its best feature is the multiplayer, something I would tend to agree with, because my friends back in IL still play it when they hang out sometimes, and I did with them up until I moved. Its just a decent game to sit down with and have a good time blowing each other up.
Another key to success is that for a long time...it was basically the only xbox game that was worth a damn, so people got really used to playing it.
Halo 1 is the best game ever IMO. Halo 3 would be second to that.
But I play Halo 3 competitively and I can tell ya this... When you play customs all day everyday, you will not run into all those little 12 year old pottie mouths. Most ppl that play Halo as a sport are pretty mature well-rounded guys. Met some of my best friends in the world through Halo.
Don't wanna sound like a whiny bitch, but Halo 3 is mediocre at best. The single player sucks ass, the multiplayer is fun until you keep getting owned by assholes who make racist/sexist jokes about everything just for fun. It really ruins the experience. If you're a fan of good games, don't buy it. I don't understand the praise, just because it's called Halo everyone's sucking it's dick. There are so many awesome games out on the 360, Halo doesn't deserve the spotlight. Get Mass Effect or something.

mass effect is full of glitches and bugs, and tbh looks like a shit game anyway, i've seen a lot better...
i aint sayin the halo franchise is the best gamers can hope for, hell no... but the fact it's one of the best selling games out right now should tell you guys somethin... unless everyones smoked themselves retarded...
anyhoo, call of duty 4 is way better than halo (online is insane) and the best game in the world is FFX (argue that one)
notice tho, most of the people on this thread that are knockin Halo 3 are the ones who havent even played it (or are the pussies who play all their games on easy)...
and one last point... xbox 360 is swamped with fps's, so much to choose from... i've tried most and Halo 3 beats em all except Call of Duty 4
