So i recently realized that Oblivion is definitely one of my favorite games to play when I'm stoned man. I dunno but its fun to like listen to the way people talk and stuff, and then you can go kill like monsters in a cave or something dude! Plus like the environment is "immersive" or some such thing. That might not be a word, but I'm saying when you're high you can easily get lost in that game... i know i have
lol
but if you have the Shivering Isles, that makes the game even better, cuz that land is kinda fucked up man... | |

I love playing it stoned too. I get lost from looking at enviroments and just running about so very little progress is made.

Definitely agree. Especially about the Shivering Isles part. I remember being really stoned the first time i went to the Shivering Isles, and being completely blown away by the room dissolving into butterflies.
I like to just run around and try to discover all the locations when I'm really stoned.
Also, if you have the PC version of Oblivion, highly recommend you check out some user-generated mods--like Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul. They add EVEN MORE depth and complexity, from new quests and storylines to new (or tweaked) mechanics.
Shit, now i have to go play me some Oblivion...

I absolutely loved Oblivion. It is easily in my top 3 video games of all time. I got every single expansion available for it and did every side mission. One of the major reasons i believe the game is so good is the soundtrack. It just fits the game soooo well, more than any other game out there. Shivering isles took it to a whole new level with the skies, trees, mushrooms... it was amazing.
Damn..now i wanna play it. |

Well I'm fixin to get my copy back from my friends house later today. Add to that i can hopefully pick myself up a present, its gonna be a good day.
Im in the middle of becoming Sheogorath right now...I think i just rebuilt the gatekeeper?
But yeah the sound track is awesome... it totally works with wandering the open woods, or storming through a dungeon in Oblivion... whatever right?
anyway man
i cant wait to play it again

I remember 2 summers ago Oblivion was the ONLY game I played. It kept me busy and coming back for more all summer long. It's definitely one of my favorite games ever. I like Fallout 3 but the map is exactly what the game says it is, a wasteland. Oblivion's map is soooo much more colorful and exiting. When it comes to RPG's, I definitely prefer swords and shields over bullets and grenades. The medival aspect makes it so much more fun for me, I don't know why. Damn now I wanna play it! |

I agree the map in oblivion is so much better. too bad they are putting all man power to fallout expansions we need another elder scrolls man! the shivering isles is definitly a worthwhile expansion too. we should all email bethesda and demand a new elder scrolls title.

Ohhh man, I have spent soooo much time playing Oblivion.
It's gotten to the point where I can name any element or any NPC and where they're located.
Suchhh a fun game, and I'm pissed that it's gonna take till 2012-2013 for the next ES .

It would be money well spent, or, good bandwidth spent however you decide to obtain it.
Just make sure you grab the Knights of the Nine add-on, and the Shivering Isles expansion. Idk how you usually game, but the PC version has the console, which, if you ever become bored with the game, could be very, very fun.
eg. if and when you get the game (for PC), and have been playing for awhile, open the terminal (~ key), and type in "coc testinghall".
Spoiler avoider**: If you plan on going to the testinghall, also plan on forgetting any challenging aspect of the game :P, that's all I'll say.
BTW! Does anybody remember the quest where you have to travel inside a portrait/canvas and rescue a guy from some trolls? I always thought that was really neat to have something as simple as a picture (like the millions of others in the game), but have a whole other level inside of it. Kinda a Mario 64 approach :P

it reminded me of that Okami game. the whole game is one big painting.
