My name is Robert - Bob for short, i just found this community today and after reading about 20 posts about shitty mechanical vaporizers with stupid fancy controllers and bags and all sorts of extra BULLSHIT, i figured ide give you all some MUCH NEEDED advice from my 8 years worth of vaporizing experience. - so here goes...

I AM HERE TO EXPLAIN THE HOTBOX -

The hot box, is very simple, it is a stone or tile box encapsulating a heating element, there is a small hole in the stone or tile which allows you to insert your wip for gathering heat from the box.
Once the heating element is hot and the box is hot you are ready to vape.
The hotbox does not have fancy Knobs or Digital display to tell you what temp you are vaping on, you basically learn to adjust the temp yourself with the (((speed at which you Inhale))).... -
The SLOWER you suck, the hotter your going to burn your substance, if you suck too slow - you WILL burn your substance.... if you suck very fast, you will get a very solid vapor inhale....
The box itself gets to about 400 degrees, all you are doing is pulling the hot air out of box and past your material... the only reason you would ever burn your substance is if you pull too slow or you take a break with the wip still on the heating element in between pulls....
The entire reason for people wanting the temp Knob to adjust the temp is because they were having an issue with burning the substance, their real issue was sucking too slow or pausing in between pulls....

The hotbox is simple, heats up, you suck hot air from the box and into your lungs, it works its perfect, and the more you use it, the better at iit you will get.....

The hotbox is a stable and level design - meaning that the wip does not go onto the heating element at any Upward or Downward angle - it goes straight on, like it should.
The hotbox comes in many different colors and types of stone, its a very beautiful little box to have on your countertop =)
HOTBOX also makes SPACECASE grinders - which i would say are the best grinders i have ever used, but i mostly used cheap Jiffy store or Wooden headshop grinders prior to using my Space Case, i would say The Space Case is a HUGE improvement on any of that shit.

The Perfect Bowl -
The Hot Box bowl is a perfect design for the Single Hit person, the bowl itself is very small in diamitor, smaller than the competition by far, which makes it much more useful for single hits, which is the BEST way to vaporize marijuana, making every single hit with as much FLAVOUR as possible. - The hotbox bowl also has a little blue dot on it to guide you as to how much to fill up your bowl, youll notice, its prety close to the screen, this means, YOU DONT NEED MUCH substance. =) - the bowl is designed so that you can put it on the heating element, and your substance is a solid inch away from the heating element itself, allowing you to vape without worry of dumping your weed all over your heating element or inside of your box,
- its annoying when the weed falls out of the wip and onto the heating element, thus BURNING the weed instead of vaping it - EWW thats gross...
PS - hotbox starts at $150 for the tile boxes and goes up to 200$ for the stone boxes. - You get a very nice package full of shit when you buy a hotbox.

Ok - i HAVE had good bag hits, and while they can taste good and are pretty amusing/fun, this is a really ridiculous way to get vapor - the vapor lasts for a few hours - but the taste only lasts in the bag for a few minutes- and the taste is very SUB PAR to using a standard box and WIP -
Fancy plastic(POS) Mechanical vaporizers that use bags start at $250 and go up to 600$
(((( anything with a digital heat sensor display or a knob for adjusting heat is going to be cheap, and shitty, while you may think your getting a good hit, you are still selling yourself short, explain more below ))))

Standard Wooden Box vaporizers and why they ALSO suck....

1. Most of these shitty wooden box vaporizers when hit clean without anything in the bowl you get a slight WOOD taste - depending on the wood used to make the box the taste can be different.... WHEN I smoke my shit i dont want it to taste like a god damn oak tree, i want it to taste like the shit i put in the bowl!
2. The design of these wooden boxes is so that it sits at an angle, at such an angle that if your bud is dry enough, it will dump out all over the heating element and all inside of the box, GREAT!
3. The bowls on these Glass on glass versions and other version are always HUGE as fuck and you need to put 3x the amount of substance in the bowl to get a good enough hit.
Standard wooden vaporizers cost between $100-300$
++++ Stupid knobs to control heat and little gay digital displays to tell you how hot shit is are also sometimes on these - which are TOTALLY UN NECESSARY and do NOTHING for getting a good vape hit.

THE SSV - which seems to be this boards most used tool is just stupid remake of the already perfected HOTBOX system... + they added a KNOB and fancy glass artwork....
THE SSV is another weird design with a bowl that sits ENTIRLEY TOO CLOSE to the heating element. + Stupid KNOB to adjust heat ( UN-NECESSARY) -
