Howdy Canna,
The wildest place I've been to,was when I went to roughneck over in Saudia Arabia..trust me-ya don't want to go there...lol.
The next wildest place I went to,was when I was in the Navy and stationed at Great Lakes,I tell ya what..them yankee's are nuts ! lol
I've been to Mexico and that wasn't too bad..pretty interesting and mostly good vittles,if ya go to the right places..lol.

Costa Magica cruise ship with my family. We went from Florida to Mexico, Belize, and Honduras.
but there is a place out here at the top of the mountian where a small river starts...its a small pond. u can see for miles all around...i call it my happy place...me and some freinds go up every now and then and smoke and chill for hours....ill have to get a pic for u guys..its amazing!! | |

Both of my parents were in the military. I was born in the Philippines then moved to Hawaii and Washington state. Spent 4 yrs in Iceland, flew up to the arctic circle a couple times while there. Then Spain and Germany.
My mom left the military then and we settled with my dads family in Texas. Weekend trips to Nuevo Laredo Mexico for .25 cent beers and $5 1/5's of Cuervo gold and peyote hunting outside of Big Bend NP.
Now I am up in the northern states hating every minute of it. Right with you Tarog...there's only 3 things a Texan's scared of. | |

Well..I wouldn't say that Texans are scared of anything-we just git annoyed and stomp a mudhole in it and walk it dry..lol.
Boy howdy,I sure have spent alot of time in the Big Bend NP and all around it,my dad used to have a cacti and succulents nursery,mostly wholesale,and my brother and I,spent many a day there,digging up cacti and yucca,often carrying em out in cardboard boxes that didn't stop the thorns from coming through much..lol.
One thing that freaked me out when I was stationed at Great Lakes,was that when i first went to a local cafe outside of the base,was that when I was being myself and said "Howdy and Good mornin !" to the waitress,she looked at me like i was crazy or about to rob them..lol. Eventually,they realized that I was being forthright and didn't have an unlterior motive..lol.
Anyhow..sounds like I do need to pray for ya !

You know Torog I have been debating getting a couple acres outside of Del Rio. At $800-$1000 per acre it's cheap enough I wouldn't have to move there.
Just for a vacation spot and ethno/cacti ranch. | |
