Honestly I don't really mind Iowa, been to Council Bluffs and Des Monies, I like the Flying J truck stop in DM but I'm pretty sure thats gone now (haven't been through Iowa in 7 years)
CB is where the Deaf school is and its quite beautiful along the river. But I just HATE driving on I-35 because honestly from MN to DM its like nothing to look at just flat farmland. I do know Iowa has some nice forests and some areas they have some nice bluffs and scenery.
Its just a habit I've had since high school to hate on Iowa. I'm sure Iowians hate on MN a lot too....kind of like the NC/SC feud.
And I like U Boone, you're cool with me, don't take me personal when I bash Iowa.

iowa doesnt have much beef with minnesota other than in football and because of the fact that some crazy dude came from minneapolis and kidnapped some girl and held her hostage in a small town not far from here and he also went around selling heroin to people all over eastern iowa and 14 people died from his heroin. its was all over the news it was crazy. but iowa gets a lot of good football and basketball players from the state of minnesota so cant complain too much. iowans hate missouri more. we almost had a border war with each other during the civil war. plus they tried to steal some of our land and they let jesse james and his gang run free to all over southern iowa. thats why iowa hates missouri. and because we think we are better then them and because they backed out on us for a football game we were supposed to play. iowa vs missouri they were gonna play 4 years in a row then right before the season missouri decided they didnt want to play iowa and played some really bad team instead. | |

Way, cool man! I think I mentioned that my girlfriend, well fiance, is from Coon Rapids and so I have been in your neck of the woods a couple of times and have to say it is very pretty. A little cold sometimes. We were riding with her brother in his truck to a place called Spicer, I think. Oh yea, they say "Spicer is nicer"! So anyway, there is a lake there (odd that there would be a lake there Hun?). So, we like drive out on the lake. I was so fucking scared. We were like driving way out on the ice. He called it "whippin shitties". Have you heard that term before? It was fun after I realized that we might live! I think we will be there in the spring so maybe we'll hook up and smoke! | |

Lol yeah Spicer is about 40 minutes west of me, and I love their slogan "Spicer is Nicer" my former landlord's last name was Spicer too so she had that bumper sticker on her car lol.
Ohh yeah driving ON the lake, lots of fun.....I'm guessing you had the ride of your life.....spinning donuts and pulling the E Brake on ice is a lot of fun.....more so if you're stoned outta your mind and you forget how you got on the lake in the first place.
