I toke my last toke before i retire this day..

...I put the roach away in the ashtray..
the smoked rises up and sits like a cloud
in my kitchen.....

I head off to my rest place......

I closed my eyes and see myself with them opened...
Its not a dream..its me thinking...all the fears that
man has to offer is now upon me.....


i can hear the Gecko..the echos of their clicking sounds..
It brings me back....im grounded....away from my thoughts..
their clicking sends out a message..to each other..
a gecko has caught a demon on my wall..
the sounds echo louder...as i forget why
I lay here motionlessly awake...
amused by their world...

I get up and walk into my living room..
i sit in a spot i normally wont during the day..
i watch as the geckos dart across
my walls in a "S" turn fashion...

I am not alone...i am in a trance from the
echoing of their clicker....i have provided
a place....a haven....for them to live...
I am blessed in their company...

I may not save the world...but i see that
this world isnt just mans...
there is the small world of the gecko...
clickering thru out the house..
with no worries... it calms me....


i rest my head on my knees..

as the Geckos..sing me to sleep......

Damn, Nalu. I had to go back and read that a couple times. I like all the other things you've written, but this one started scaring the shit out of me.
Geckos catching demons off your wall......but then at the end they sang you to sleep...My last toke will now keep me awake till it wears off. When I go to sleep, I don't want that lil creature on me or singing to me..LOL man, Peace

im am refering to ...lets say a roach...can be a demon...
and my insomiac ways.....of sleepless nights..can bring..
many thoughts of the deep...one way i can ground myself with reality is nature..the geckos...they make this sound...I love the sound..
the clicker ...brings me back... no worries....i .just over toked...


In Hawaii , Geckos are considered good luck.... protectors....safeguards your house....

well lets put it this way...the english did arrive in Hawaii 1778...and this is the reason we have a union jack for our state flag...interesting is I dont know if the geckos picked up on it....

first off, no geckos in the house! lol
of course, i know tht in hawaii, you live differently,
and your houses are more open, and as i sit here,
i can here the birds chirpin in the background outside my window,
and soon i will be hearing the crickets at night as i sleep.
i know tht you and geckos are livin in harmony,
your dreams and life awake are merging in a continuous motion.
as for the geckos, life and death unfolds upon your walls.
