So saturday I was doing my regular morning blaze in front of the T.V. in my pj's when all of the sudden I hear a knock at my door. I get up and look through the peep hole and it was my grandma!!! She lives 2 hours away and I never see her. She is very conservative and doesn't know I smoke!
My house was covered in pipes, bongs, I had shrooms drying in the kitchen, cashed bowl ash on my coffee table, and I had just gotten done taking a hit and smoked two bowls prior to that...my house smelt like weed.
So i tell her to hang on while I try and put everything away. Once I think I have everything put away, I go let her in. As we start to walk into the living room, I glance over at my computer desk and there is my 3 foot bong sitting right there. I walked straight to my computer, grabbed the bong and made an escape to my kitchen where I proceded to throw it sideways in my fridge and of course granny decides to follow ...she comes into my kitchen:

Granny: Amanda, you need flowers. I'm gonna buy you some.
Me: Okay grandma, why?
Granny: Because you have so many vases in this house and no flowers to put in them.
Me: I don't have that many vases.
Granny: Yes you do, there was one on the computer desk and there are two in the bathroom and none of them have flowers.
Me: really? ( I went to the bathroom and sure enough 2 more of my bongs are sitting on the counter!!!)
Oh, yeah, I guess your right grandma I need flowers.
Granny: And they will sure help with the smell in here...it stinks!

HAHAHA I can't believe she thought they were vases....I got lucky

HaHa... If my grandma showed up unannounced like that, then I would have never answered the door. Every now and then I get a surprise vist from family, and I just act like no ones home. I wish my family was that nieve. Lol Good Story.

Grandma's are awesome!!! I kind of wish I could toke up with my Grandparents.
I bet everybody a million dollars that if I went to visit my grandpa right now, and pulled out some weed... he would totally toke up with me! Of course, we will never find out... because I am not doing that! lol. I am pretty sure he knows I smoke. haha

Thanks for sharing Amandizzle. We should cook your granny up some awesome special brownies and take her flower shopping!!! haha

Good times, id tell my grandma, "Come in grandma. (hug n kisses) Sit here, and sorry for the smell.

She'd say, "Oh thats alright, hows your head?" and never think about it again cause my grandma knows hows its helped me more than any other med has, and more importantly, she SEES how harmless it is, and how stupid the drug war is. it def was NOT this wayforever though. Took a lot of talks with her and my granpa to fill them in on what marijuana was. at first mu grandma didnt like it. thought it was as bad as heroin. then i started to teach her and talk to her about it. i told her how many times i had seen her and been medicated. and i think becuase she didnt see any difference in my downfall, she started to listen to what i had to say. i also do a ton of drug reform stuff, and at the time not just with pot, so that probably had to play into her thought process and gave me and what i was saying credibility.

anyway, long story short....

You just gotta be open with people you love sometimes. if you truly think what you are doing is ok, and not a harmful lifestyle. why not let your loved ones in on it, and share the knowledge of the green.

If you are an adult, and can make decisions for yourself, im sure the people around you will understand.

How could I leave my Grandmother standing at the door?

My grandmother, is of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. If she knew that her grandson smokes bud it would kill her. So to spare her feelings and spare me precious hours of my life, I would just leave the TV on and chill on the couch until she left. My parents know that I smoke but not grandma dude. Lol, after listening to one of her 2 hour preaching sessions, you may have a different view.

You have cool grandparents though.

sorry man, i was being kind of a smartass. i see why people cant let other know sometimes. but people who love you unconditionally usually can be reasoned with and taught some great things about marijuana.

awwww Gran. how cute and how oblivious. that story melted my heart!! when she asks what you want for christmas tell her that there is a sweet new vase that you just gotta have!

my gran (my she rip) would've said "kel you haven't been dabbling in that wacky tobacky have you? that stuff'll kill ya!!!" (as she smoked 2 packs of unfiltered cigs every day)
