getting into a fight with a friend because you dont smoke is the stupidest thing ever. just cause i need to to take a break and get my shit straight someone has to start a fight ant not understand why is ridiculous.

You got in a fight over it? that's crazy. I remember my friends warning me about smoking when I was on break and I never had a problem with them smoking around me, and they obviously didn't have a problem smoking around me..heh... why would someone fight about you taking a break?

your friend picked the fight? I dont understand why he would care if you were taking a break unless he mooches and you buy the majority of the buds. If you want stop smoking for a while I dont see how it effects him.

i think thats dumb....but i've recently had that epiphany and have been trying to change that. i've used weed as a crutch to meet people for so long that alot of my main friend circle now i only know and only smoke weed with. its not like we had other hobbies and hung out doing them and THEN started getting high. its just the only thing there ever was.

its shitty. gotta mix up your leisure activities, as much as i hate to admit it

Maybe weed is the only thing you have in common. So what? There are worse things you could base a relationship on. It sounds like you both need to meet some new people. It'll give you both something to do while you're taking a break. I'm sure he'll still share a bowl with you when your break is over

I actually had this same problem a few months ago. Since the first day I'd met my friend we smoked. When I told her I thought I might stop for a while, she freaked and we got into a fight. I don't think it's anger as much as fear of losing a friend. If someone feels like the only connection is weed then it's sucky to think that you might be taking that away. Plus now that I'm smoking regularly, I've noticed that even though all my friends are cool, I prefer to hang with the ones that smoke with me. Just let your bud know that it's a temporary thing (if it is) and lightly point out that her getting mad over you not smoking is basically peer pressure.

If you're friends are peer pressuring you badly they aren't friends, they're called pushers. Haven't met a ton of them for weed.
