(We know the Hardys did but thats cuz they're outta their minds) | alot of wrestler started out in their backyards. ask mick foley dude love was jumping off of roof tops at 16. rvd said that everymatch is like going through 50 car wrecks so i dont believe in the idea that they know how to take a bump or know how to fall cause it really hurts even for the pros. they are just tough enough to handle it. |

Stoner Buck$$: 1,439.97 | Re: Wats Your Worst Sports Injury...... How Did It Happen...... there are ways to take bumps that wont hurt as much as untrained bumps.....if that makes sense.
For example....back body drop, falling right flat on your back would hurt like a bitch right?? However landing on one or the other side and using your butt to absorb most of the shock would hurt a lot less.
I did take a little wrestling training when I was 18-20, I was active in a small indy promo here in Minnesota called Cloudtown Wrestling, basically it was backyard wrestling stuff just toned down and inside a ring. Larry the Axe Hennig was our technical advisor (taught us how to take bumps and not hurt the other guy too much) and if you dont know who Larry is, you're not a wrestling fan. I wish I kept up with the training because I'm 28 now and I look like I'm 12 months pregnant

Larry is Curt's UNCLE. LOL.
The impact of the chair depends on how hard the guy swings it. Not to give it away or anything but a lot of guys swing it really fast but not hard, so guys like Mick Foley and RVD can take several chair shots. However, going thru tables is painful no matter who you are.
There are also ways to cushion impacts, such as throwing your hands up, falling back before the full impact of the chair and several other things like that.
But I do agree, real wrestlers get hurt all the time, why do you think most of them either toke or are addicted to pain pills.
