any auto enthusiats out there in sf land? it would be nice if i had the resources to work on mine, but right now, things are lacking. regardless, she is on her way to becomming a nice damn car. its currently out of commission until i can get a new starter in there. normally not such an issue, but with longtube headers, the space is much more cramped.

Here's a pic of my 1978 Paccer Hatchback
It has a inline 6 with a holly 2 barrel carb and pep boys air cleaner it also has new black rubber floor mats (matching) 2 custom cup holders,crome door knobs,a custom burnt orange and yellow Afgan my grandmother made me for the backseat and a Tandy Sound System with 3 speakers roundasound The tires look stock but they are retreads I got recut for 10 bucks (for 4!)
I just got the new custom gas peddle and hope to get some curb feelers next week!
This thing will blow the doors off any electric car!
The chicks dig it!

i dont so much hate american cars more or less than any other countries. i hate the mentality behind the making of a new car. and hell, most things made nowadays. the things arent made to last. they are meant to do their job for a certain period of time and then be replaced. they can slack on quality control, because if one lemon gets through, just ship em out a new product and hope it works.

any car can be nice(perhaps not physically, but mechanically) if the owner puts effort into it. but, just as there is fault on the auto companies for making half shoddy products, there is fault with a majority of the eventual owners of the cars, who will neglect regular mantainance that speeds up the cars decline.

As for American cars.....bleh. However I am liking the new styling of the Chevy Malibu right now. I think American companies need to make a run for the tuner market.

On a bright note, my Gal drives a 02 Blazer Xtreme and it is GORGEOUS I love that truck. Plan to give it a custom paint job and some other customizing on it when we can afford it.

By the way Boone, how about those Hawkeyes? They got Floyd back (I hate U of M so go ahead and bash em lol)

most american cars made during the 90's are shit.

mine is a 1999 cavalier. with no upgrades i got the no smoking version. no ashtrays and no cigarette lighter.
