i predicted the super bowl last season b4 it even started. this year i will hold off on a prediction dont want to jinx anybody. cant count on it too work 2 years in a row. but i will say this i am even more ready for college football. the iowa hawkeyes first game is in Chicago at soldier field against Northern Illinois. my dad is goin but i dont got a ticket. but im going to all the homegames, i do every year. iowa is gonna win their third bigten title in 6 years. and i predict we will make a return to a january bowl game. hopefully the capital one bowl or the rose bowl. iowa will crush iowa state to once again retain the cy-hawk trophy its real home is in iowa city. they will defeat wisconsin on their home turf for the 4 st8 time and win back the heartland trophy in the process . i think we may lose to penn state but we have beaten them 5 st8 times and we pretty much own them in the all time series but they will be tough this year and its at happy valley. we will destroy minnesota and win back the Pig (The Floyd Of Rosedale). iowa will be be back at the top this year after a couple of down years we are back baby! my final prediction iowa will finish 12-1(7-1 in the bigten) and goto the rose bowl or the capital one bowl.
and what the hell i will throw in a super bowl pick colts will win the afc goto their 2nd st8 super bowl and win it. bob sanders the best saftey in the nfl and a former hawkeye will lead the way on defense and on offense my boy dallas clark another former hawkeye will be catching peytons passes all day. go colts. i think

Realistly the most dangerous team out there, is the Cincinatti Bengals, lets not forget there 2005 Campaign, and the reason they just went 8-8 a year ago. Sorry to hear about Alstot, Stoner. I heard today that the Bucs put him on IR because of his neck injury and he would miss the season but did not know he decided to retire. I always liked him. Loved his style of running and the physical way he attacked the defense. Most of all he was a gentlemen and a leader. He and Dunn made quite a backfield.
Had an opportunity to see a Buc's game in Tampa several years back. I can remember the the image of a locomotive and the loud train whistle coming from the jumbo scoreboard screen everytime he ran the ball. A-Train will be missed.
I am sensing that this team is on the verge of putting it together once again. Hopefully with a new offensive coordinator, a different zone blocking scheme and more touches for DiAngelo Williams (sit Foster down) the offense will be more productive on 3rd downs.
Defense should be solid and if they can escape the plague of injuries they have had the last couple of years, they should be among the defensive leaders. Secondary should be better, not great, but better. They need to have a leader step up on the defense now that Mike Minter has retired. The obvious choice would be Peppers but he may be the silent type and not vocal enough. Time will tell but I am expecting great things from them this year.
The Colts look weak up the middle, worse than last year if that's possible. Both starting DTs are out. Gotta go with the Ravens now. They will take it if McNair is still standing at the end.
i agree the colts have lost a lot on defense, they lost a couple good linebackers and now mcfarland is out for the season cory simon never really did much of anything. and they lost another tackle to free agency. but i wouldn't count Peyton and company out any day. they havnt had a great defense really ever and they always manage to win at least 12 games so i still think the colts are contenders. and as long as they got former Iowa Hawkeye bob sanders healthy their defense will be not bad.
honestly though its probably going to be the patriots unfortunately i hate them but i think they have made all the right moves for a team that was already afc championship good. so i really think the pats will probably end up in the super bowl again. i can only hope the nfc can get a good team into the super bowl this year and win it.
