ive lived in florida my whole life,born and raised on the southwest coast
surfing is my life,couldnt imagine living to far from a coast ever..no matter what kind of break it may be lol,or how cold of water.Any other surfers out there? stay up

Ive been surfing a long time..most of my life too...if i travel its for surf... im glad to see another surfer on board...

only a surfer knows that feeling..
i surf in Hawaii....northshore.in the winter....eastside when its going off..and of course the westside...yokohama..and southshore in the summer..

keep the pix coming...btw...i think that coco beach wave is a left...lol

I grew up in Huntington Beach Ca.
I had surf class in the mornings before school started
and was in the Jr Lifegaurd Program for a few years
never surfed in Fla (diden't think there where any waves there)
I have surfed in Maui

cool hazz...
jr lifeguard programs are a toughy...when I went to high school in Coronado Island, San Diego.. I had surf class there...surfing morning classes for two periods ..was a nice way to start school.. where did you surf in Maui? Honolua bay?...that is my favourite wave...inside caves.. barrels over the sea urchins..got scars from there..lol...You mentioned HB, do you know a guy named Parmentor? or bud lamas?..jason haughey?..chris hawk?(drunk)...just wondering...theyre m8s of mine..

hey capt!! its never too late to surf...i swear...if you do ...you will be hooked for life..nothing compares..to surfing...

overgrown... i leave you with a couple of island waves...
yoks.bay..on the westside..it breaks close to shore and there is a reef bottom sometimes covered up by the sand...on this day it was exposed...just inches below....heavy localism here...but its for a good cause..
if you respect the ocean and its people and land....you will have no probs......
the ones that get beat ..is because they cut off people or drop in on them.leave rubbish on the beaches....if you know the golden rule of surfing ..you can just about surf anywhere in the world...this applies to just about all surfing spots..but not to the sharks....lol

bud lamas sounds very fimiliar
I was class of 86 HB HIgh some of my surfing friends where Mike & Pat Estes
(Mike was in a real bad car crash senior year)
A few of my friends went pro but we lost touch
I had a Chuck Dent board
and would eat at the Sugar Shack on Main street and Whimpys for Strips & Cheese!
My best friends Uncle owned Main Street Market for 25+ years we would play pool & Drink beer (we where 16~17 haha)and take girls upstairs to show them my etchings!

Surf along north facing shores will be 2 feet or less through Sunday.

Surf along east facing shores will be 1 to 3 feet through Sunday.

Surf along south facing shores will be 1 to 3 feet this morning, rising to 2 to 4 feet this afternoon and 3 to 5 feet Sunday.

Surf along west facing shores will be 1 to 3 feet through Sunday.

so too bad im leaving ....
it seems everytime i go somewhere the waves pop up....its so muggy here..no wind....its supposed to get worse...o man i can hear them mosquitos now.........bizzzzzzzzzbuzzzzz smack....lol
but i have good news.. i saved on my gieco.....stfu.lol...
i ordered a new surfboard.....i got a fish....6 '0..im so looking forward to this........

WOW ,and those are 3 foot breaks? We dont get barrels like that here unless its 5foot plus,then its usually a bit choppy ,thats just pure gloss WOW nalu .Thanks for the pics youll love the fish.Hazz that picture is sick to man ,nice ass wave !! Im gonna get some good pictures up here soon.

we measure the waves from the back...so 3 foot wave would look 6 ft from the front....
that one pic of makapu'u....is a set wave around 6 ft..
You must remember we are a Island and swells come fast here..
it can get big in a matter of hours..even when you out...surfing..
close out sets start rolling in...pau..done..lol....
even a small wave can produce barrels....just inches above the razor sharp reef...its normal to get cut everytime you go out..
