So I did, and this video clearly exaggerates the situation, painting the christians in a far more heroic light than they deserve.

Now, it appears that what happened was essentially this: Christians were out at Philadelphia OutFest Heckling the homosexuals (yes, preaching the word can be considered heckling if you are calling people abominations and telling them they're going to suffer eternally--which, by the way, really doesn't seem to me to be a very effective way to save souls), and the volunteer security (the "pink angels") gathered around and attempted to drown these people out (by blowing whistles, obscuring their signs, etc.). While I think this was the wrong thing to do on the part of the pink angels, it is certainly understandable--people tend to get a little angry when their entifre lifestyle is decied as abominable and silencing these protesters would probably have been the best thing for the security of event (though as I said, not the best thing to do respecting individual rights).

Then the police arrested them and took them off, quite possibly in order to prevent further escalation of the conflict, and "threw the book at them" (which I'm pretty sure is a fairly standard tactic to prevent conflict escalation).

Charges against 7 of them were dropped. The other four faced arraignment, but their cases were dismissed, with the judge stating that the protesters had done nothing more than exercise their 1st amendment rights and that the US protects unpopular speech.

This is far from the example of the pervasive and insidious influence that the "homosexual movement" has over the US government that the video portrays it as.


Honestly, that whole video was spun all to hell and plenty disingenuous (not to mention intellectually dishonest)...it was really rather pathetic.

What is the point of you posting all this non-sense on this site. You are promoting your self ideals on people who are all about choosing for yourself how you want to live. Please leave all your personal feelings about religion and politics and negative comments about people you beleive are ruining the economy and America out of your posts. By posting your one sided views, you are descriminating against the sole beliefs America was built upon.


But you are seemingly intelligent so I give you credit for argueing a point that you know facts about...Many times people argue for the sole sake of argueing and its rediculous.

Geez, I just read this phrase again and realized how it sounded. Cross out "Christians" and replace it with "Hecklers"

i mean, it all comes down to that fact the HOMOSEXUALS DON'T CHOOSE TO BE, THEY ARE BORN THAT WAY!! there are some that might not be, and maybe they are influenced into being gay. Its a choice that they can decide for themselves in that case. the truth is though, the gays that aren't born gay most likely became gay because of a less competitve (male) attitude and nagging of mean grammar school peers (like when young boys call others gay)

But it has been proven that homosexuality is a trait one is born, so you are attacking a group of people that had no choice in what they are. it is NO DIFFERENT than attacking blacks for being black, the only difference is your trying to tell a gays that they have a choice. your not gay, so how exactly do you know?

here's some articles on homosexuality. Now, even though there hasnt been a gene found in humans, there has in animals. And differences in how the brain works has been found in homosexuals.

i know this kid, we both went to elementary school together. He was always kissing girls, and for some reason this made him gay in the eyes of my friends (this was in 2nd and 3rd grade mind you). he always denied it, even though he had alot of feminine mannerisms. Now he is my pot dealer, openly gay, and actually performs in drag shows. This kid was gay from the start, even when he was in denial about it. he tried so hard to be straight that he kissed girls when most boys were grossed out by girls.

Well, I've been following these threads of yours for a while now, don't ask me why.. they're completely pointless in my eyes. And I really have no interest in discussing homosexuality or Christianity with you or anyone else for that matter since everyone's points are quite clear. However I found the quote above to be quite interesting because anyone who claims not to be severely propagandized is in serious denial. Our lives are packed full of propaganda.. media is everywhere. We're told from a very young age how to act, how to speak, what to wear, when to wear it, what to do, how to do it, etc, etc. But, such is life. Human beings learn from experience, a monkey see monkey do kind of dealio. A child brought up in the wild by animals we be that, an animal. A child brought up in a household of conservative Christians, will be just that. We're all just humans, doing what we can to figure this thing out called life. Everyone has their own approach and in the end, death is the only answer. So seriously, I think it's time to say enough is enough with the gay bashing. Mods have closed threads on far less serious terms..

You mention America (originally based on freedom of religion, pursuit of happiness, and essentially an escape from religious tyranny), pushing your morals, AND that a form of pursuit of happiness (gayness) is somehow destroying what the country was based on all in one sentence.

its just fuckin unbelievable that you can put so many clearly contradictory things in one sentence. Torog, what does freedom mean to you? freedom to follow YOUR gods rules and follow YOUR set of morals.

if anything, not giving homosexuals the right to marry actually goes against the constitution, the american way, and our morals of acceptance and pursuit of happiness.

How about gays are free to be gay, you are free to hate (and say that you hate) homosexuality.

People should be free, and are becoming more free in some parts of the world. Of course this carrys with it the fact that alot of people will be doing things that others don't aprove of.

I agree that political correctness being forced is wrong.

But anyway, what is it you don't like about gays?

none of those people are trying to destroy your way of life. Why so much hate, You put us all down for thinking gays should have the same rights as straights. Since when is being understanding and careing about one's fellow man wrong? If everyone was understanding and careing there'd be no wars. It seems most governments want to keep us all hateing one another, you bought into it. Love , not hate is the answer.

Ever thought about how the world would be without Christianity? I have and it looks pretty good.

Noah and the ark
It is a story not based on any facts what-so-ever. One that christians hold dearly as truth. We all know that story how Noah took 2 of every animal bla bla bla. There are over 4 million different types of creatures on this earth. no way anyone could build a ship that big. there are, for example over 35,000 different types of spiders alone, thats a hell of alot of crates just for spiders. Noah's ark, debunked just a story not based on truth.
