Does he do things to people, or do things just happen?

It’s hard, if not impossible for me to believe that God would allow the things that happen to the innocents to happen. Say in the case of child molestation.
But I also believe in divine intervention and miracles. I’ve seen the power of prayer work too often to not believe in it. I see the hand of God at work in different ways everyday.
So the question remains why do bad things happen to good people? I believe the power of good and the power of evil are both at work in this world. That is not to say that when a tree falls on a father of four and kills him dead that it is the work of evil. I don’t know why things happen they way they do. I don’t understand it either. I don’t think we are meant to understand. I think this is where “faith” comes in.

I think that bad AND good things happen to people all the time .... but people handle them differently ... which is where spirituality, faith, and karma come into play ....
As I get older, I worry much less about the "why" ... I may never find out for sure ... the "why" has no power over me ... it's something that I can't control ...
I try to focus on enjoying every moment of the good times .... surviving and getting through the tough times ... There is no better feeling than when pain goes away ... so we can move on to a better place.

Was watching children of men the other day and it mentions something about the battle between faith and chance, good movie if you get the chance to see it, or have the faith...or whatever lol
i believe God has a plan for your life and everything is planned but he gives us free will to totally screw up his plan for us and we as the human race have made screwing up Gods plan for each one of us to an absolute science.

heres what i thnik, we are all paintings made by god, and his signature exists within us, once you find that signature you can bring good things or bad things into your life depending on your thoughts, negative or positive, then the universe will act upoon your thought or "wishes" like a genie does, except for, you are your own genie, it works for me!
No offense to any religious people, I'm merely speaking my opinion. I think that things just happen, and that people use "God" as an everchanging answer to the questions we can't find answers to. Like, why would God make so many insane rules and regulations to our existance.. then give us free will. It's kind of like setting us up for failure if you ask me..
