What always surprises me is all the overweight preachers, deacons, elders, etc. that are some church's leaders. Gluttony is one of the 7 deadly sins, yet no one ever mentions it.

Second of all, I said I'm not perfect, no one is.

Second of all, I said I'm not perfect, no one is. | No, no, no, you misunderstood me. I was just commenting on how some in the public eye in religion (preachers, deacons, etc.) are overweight from GLUTTONY, not from a medical condition, just over-eating. I didn't mean to imply that YOU were gluttonous or that you were trying to say you were perfect, not at all. Just a general comment.
Friends?

I too am a Christian. I hate how in Church how they try to put down people that enjoy Marijuana responsibly and so everyone thinks youve got a drug problem. Yet alchohol, the downfall of so many people in the bible, is ok. And then what really aggravates me is the people who act all holy in church but as soon as they get out you would think they never knew the Lord.
Just wanted to vent a little. |

I've met the recreational Christian or two (the type that claims "Christian" on a census but never really goes to service or otherwise thinks about spirituality), but never a full-blown believer. | Not just the Bible, but modern civilization. It's hypocritical, all right. Quote: |
There are many paths to God yes, but only one to Heaven.
| To steer back towards theology... if there's only one path to Heaven, isn't that equivalent (to a non-believer or follower of another faith) to having only one path to God? There's either one "true" path or there are a myriad of equivalent paths depending on culture, family, etc. |

Stoner Buck$$: 135.73 | Re: I am a Christian Well there are a lot of Christian tokers. In my church(my dad is the pastor) they all know that i partake medically and accept me. there are several in my church that are tokers some medical and some recreational and we all found each other very quickly(mainly because im out of the closet) we now have our own weekly bible study, then we smoke a bit. Whats really kinda cool before we partake we thank God for providing it and ask him to bless our time smoking together. kinda like when we say our prayers at meal time.
Some of our deepest and most memerable theogical discutions were after our fellowship(the smoking and eating time). God put it here for a reason and it is wrong for christians to say that it is bad, Thats saying God made a mistake in creating it.
now when you wrote this:
" I am a Christian: I respect and listen to my parents, growing up we all rebel against our parents, its human nature, however, I try my best to obey my parents requests, even though I'm an adult now and I can make my own decisions, I must still obey."
I thought i was the only one who believed this. I am 42 and when my dad tells me to do something i do it even when it is not something i want to do.
the bible tells us to obey our perents. Not to obey till you are 18 then you do what you want.
I am in the middle of a divorse from an 18 yr. marriage when it was really over 12 yrs ago. but i tried until it was evident that she really didn't care if i lived or died. But god gave me the strength to endure the torment of a very abusive relationship(emotional abuse not physical abuse) i was isolated from life but still i tried. So ya God does not give you more then you can handle
but boy we can handle alot.
Just because we are a Christian by no means makes us perfect we just have a perfect example living within us.
thank you for posting this thread i was about as depressed as i could get and i felt alone now i know there are truly Godly tokers out there!! God Bless you all!!!

Stoner Buck$$: 2,487.88 | Re: I am a Christian Howdy spankey,
Thanx for sharing yer story with us,I agree with what ya have to say and some of what you've been through,I have been through myself. I'd like to go to my old congregation and tell them how I feel about God giving us marijuana to help us,not hurt us..and that I use it medically now(double-fusion of the lower spine). I have a cousin who's a preacher and we had a long talk about medical marijuana and he basically believes that Man has twisted the use of marijuana into something not good,he had no good answer when I asked him if he thought that God had made a mistake when He created marijuana. Btw,I use to party with him, back in the day and he toked right along with me..lol.
I believe in obeying one's parents as well,I just hope that they don't realize such or they may make a few requests of me that I don't like..lol.
At any rate-yer not alone ! There is room and a place, for those cannabinauts who believe in God and Jesus or a higher power, and I believe that we can help the cause,in our own way.
Have a good one !

Stoner Buck$$: 2,487.88 | Re: I am a Christian Howdy Y'all,
I'd like to invite those of y'all who are cannabinauts that have faith in God or a Higher Power,to join my newly created 'Cannabinauts of Faith' public group here, under Groups. Any religion or person of faith,is invited to join-even muslims !
My hope is that we all share the common belief that God created marijuana to help us-not hurt us.
Have a good one !

i beleive this.
There is a big road
Then there are many many roads on that big road, that eventually lead to 1 place.
The big road represents the main ideas of being a good person, helping others, being helpful, and kind.
And the little roads represent the different releigions and such.
There is 1 main idea to God, and thats being a good person.

Stoner Buck$$: 403.13 | Re: I am a Christian I am a christian, I belong to the only orthodox christian church that has ordered us to use KNH BSM (marijuana) and to profess it to all as the the lords return in a cloud of smoke.
We also provide all the paperwork and instructions on how to inform the court of our status, without a lawyer and without entering a plea in a courtroom. We also provide technical and spiritual assistance when a pothead is arrested.
When arrested for marijuana you must profess your religious use to the police and be polite as they arrest you .
But when it comes time for arraignment, you must become a "Belligerent Claimant in person", not represented by a lawyer.
we have all of the paperwork and instructions on how to proceed before arraignment, what to file, where to file, and who to serve.
Religious persecution is illegal in America. The problem is that we have been ignorant of the law, and what is that old maxim? "Ignorance of the law is no excuse"
We go to court without knowing what is up.
When the judge says "how do you plea?", He is assuming that you are there on what is called "general appearance". We must inform him verbally and in writing that we are there on "Special appearance" to get an answer from the prosecution on our "Demand for a bill of Particulars"
If the judge continues the religious persecution by entering a plea for us, then we have the paperwork needed to deny that plea and to deny the judges power of attorney.
You can google us brothers for mercy
