My hubbys father was a Ratana minister so it was performed by him. Ratana is a Maori faith (my hubby is maori) and I am a pakeha (white person), so it is not very common for a person like myself to be in this faith. I am going to link you a site, sorry it is a bit of a read but it is something alot of you may find interesting....
