I beleive my brain is not big enough, not smart enough, not enginered to be able to understand these type of things. These questions are a matter of interllectual opinion (if that makes any sense at all). These questions have no real answer because they can be answered in so many different ways. I think that these questions can be answered in so many different deminsions that the answer is, well, there is no answer. Beleifs are based loosly on facts and more on opinion. Although I beleive some answers are more correct then others, in some1 elses mind,t hey might think the opposite.
By the way im high as hell so This probobly makes no sense. But continue on without my nonintellectual ass interupting I really enjoy reading this thread. |
I think you have a future in politics! |

WE ENTER THE WORLD AS ATHEIST, AND MANY OF US SUBSEQUENTLY ACQUIRE RELIGIUS BELIEFS THROUGH CULTURAL IMMERSION AND INDROCTINATION...... |

I disagree with yer claim that we all enter the world as atheists, being an atheist means believeing that there ain't no God,a new-born child has not developed any beliefs yet. It might be more accurate to say that we enter the world, not knowing about God..however,it could be that babies are able to 'feel' God(on a paranormal level),because they have not developed any filters to filter God out. It has been demonstrated time and time again, that young children are much more psychic than we realize, and as they git older, they begin to filter out the paranormal.
Have a good one ...

how about we just say we are born into this world as areligious entities, unconcerned with the superstitions of society and its attendant baggage. an infant's only deity is its mother, who feeds and loves without asking anything in return.
maybe we will never really grow beyond the desire for a return to infancy and its total lack of responsibility. our gods all seem to be that mixture of stern but loving parent whose gifts we claim we are unworthy of. our debt to these omniscient parent figures is our very existence and our inability to repay this debt has led us to invent a series of rules and genuflections meant as some small recompense for the effort of our creation. though our true debt is to our forebearers and the rest of humanity, it is far easier to please some mythical creature through occasional rites and ceremonies than to expend the energy to continually treat our fellow men with kindness and respect.

Stoner Buck$$: 126.50 | Re: Understanding Atheism first thing is that by we enter the word as atheist i say that we enter the word with no religius beliefs and people that surround us influence us with thier beliefs. yes i think that children specially babys are more sensible than older people to the paranormal. |
