I read somewhere....That..."Salt water is effective against ants. If we put it in our plant pot, ants will run."
I am growing coconut plant and there are too many ants in my plant pot. I don't know where they came from. Is salt water or salt itself effective way to get rid of ants? Please help.

Nah man, I think that only works for the deep ocean variant of purple sticky punch. It could also be helpful if u wanna start a kelp farm. GOD NO...DO NOT POUR SALT WATER ON YOUR PLANTS. I'll be posting with advice soon. but for now DO NOT POUR SALT WATER ON YOUR PLANTS

Get ant bait traps for the ant. Put them around your grow and get a bunch of them and kill them. If you see bugs on the plants get an entirely organic insecticidal soap spray and spray it. can be found at your local organic gardening shop. if you search on the web u might be able to find a homemade recipe that can make with ingredients from a 24/7 walmart or something if its an emergency i havent had to do that one so i wouldnt know. there might be an organic bug repellant or insecticide that can be added to water and used in ur waterings or feedings. no salt water. get some ant traps and get some really organic earth friendly hippy dippy stuff and get to work. keep it clean so they dont come bank and line cracks and hole with traps (traps are good because there is no mist that can get on your plants), you can also use a chemical spray when the plants are out of the room and its just on the cracks and its not used on the plants. good luck brotha

By all means, never, ever, put saltwater on or anywhere near your plants. The sodium ion from the salt water will effectively halt any cation exchange at the plants roots, ultimately starving the plants of critical soil nutrients...calcium in particular.
There are very few plant species that can survive even slight increases in soil salinity.

Mmkaay this is my very 1st post here on the best forum google has ever sent my way. . . Now to the point. . . I grew some african cush in my back yard and i went to study 4 two months in another town so i have no nurturing responsibilities 4 the plants. . So when i came back the buds were gawddamn huge! Bout the size of a cucumber . . .BUT. . . As you would guess littered with bugs and creepy crawlies. . . I didnt know what the #### to do. So i asked a old rasta friend what he does to his crops that grow outdoors. And he told me that he doesnt use any of the "bulls### chemicals" he cuts off the buds and fill up glasses of natural sea salt mixed with mineral water. Well i tried it. What else was i supposed to do i wanted to get it on fire! And in amazement. After about 10 mins the bottom of the glass was covered with loads of different bugs nd stuff that move . Lice. Aphids or sums### orange nd white thingies that look awesome under my microscope.. (stoner tip. . . Get a microscope for boredom elimination). I even used a magnifying glass to look at the buds afterwards it wasnt spotless but i could pick off te last few with tweezers. They were dead btw.
Oh and people have been cleaning letuce and coal and all kinds of vegies with saltwater for eons. I smoked that over 2 months ago. And i still got ####ing baked out. Im still standing and healthy as a special ops soldier. I really don't see why all natural methods should not be used? Well i hope what i wrote here is of some use to blazers in perrel Posted via Mobile Device | |

I wouldn't listen to this person's gardening advice, either they have a black thumb, or they don't like you very much.
