Hi im new to growing need any advice! here it is im doing a cheep set up i have 4 125w plant bulbs 8 to 10inches above plants,micgrow soil in 5 gal containers,12in fan blowing on them 24/7 the room temp is 75 the humidy is 75%. i also have some fert that is 30-10-10 is this good or to much? i got some pics take a look.

Man are you using MG with the slow release fert pellets? Either way man that is way too much Nitrogen. Check out the faq section on nutes and lay off nitrogen alittle. 10-10-10 or 10-5-10 is what I usually use during veg. I think 30 is just going to cause some huge headaches down the road. thats just imo anyway.

I use the Mg 14-14-14 soil....you dont need ferts for any veg stage growth...just light, water and airflow...when flowering is initiated, I begin adding additional Mg ultra bloom in 1/2 reccomended doses on every other watering.

I only add ultrabloom until about 4 weeks from expected finish time then straight water as needed to flush out any residues....they will leave you with lousy tasting smoke if you dont flush them.

I have found with either pure sativas or indicas this works well. An Indica can finish in 4 months from seed, a sativa takes about 6 months. The point is the soil already had slow release ferts in it...add too much more and you can kill your plants at any time. As long as your leaves are flat, green and firm....you are on track.

hey man...lookin good! if you take a baby food fork (or something like it) and "rough up" the very top inch or so of soil you will have better drain & it will be easier to tell when to water. good luck doo'D!

as a matter of fact i did that the same night i took the pics. thanks more pics in about 2 weeks.

so how long are you in with these plants? and what strand are they? i'm lokking for some tips. i just started growing.

im on my 3rd week in dirt look to flower in jan they are just some seeds that someone gave me i gess u call the bagseeds he said they come from killer well see! as a matter of fact i started the germ process the 13th of oct. the fan is importint it builds strong stems but im not to sure about lights i run 2 120w plant bulbs from lowes and 1 150w security light that i took apart a put a 110 cord on it and took the motion detector off of. to sprout seeds i just placed them on a folded wash cloth and soked it with water foled it again to cover seeds and keep it wet in a dark place.

The plant lights, are they fluorescent? If the flood lamp from the motion light is an incandescent, it's not doing anything but making heat and using up electricity. If you get another compact fluorescent in there you'll have more usable light.

im not sure? i no one thing it seams to be working ,i could change it to a 13w engery saver till payday think it would be better? are the 120w plant bulbs ok they were like 7 apeace at lowes, thanks

not sure on the plant bulbs i changed the sec light for 2 40w flo with a total of 7300 lumens about 5inches above the plants
