Ironlotus. We are not asking you to pay.
The * "pay" league is merely a yearly license to play a better game with many more features. Totally customizable, and you keep it every year without having to re-invent a new league.
The ** "free" league software has limitations and not nearly as many features.

As referred to here...It means we buy a license for a better archivable game.
I have found a free game, and it allows an archive/url/...However; I haven't gotten inside yet to see if it the game has the versatility we want in a fantasy football game. Only the best for the Stoner Community. LOL
The rest of you that replied on the 1st page that haven't confirmed, I hope you do soon...Depending on game we can vary amount of teams, but I think less than 12 creates schedule and playoff problems. Later

Latewood, I love football but have never participated in a fantasy league. I have many acquaintances who have and do participate, some in multiple leagues, so I have a basic understanding of how it works.
If you are trying to draft this coming Wednesday, August 8th, what happens if someone loses one of their picks to an injury in a preseason game? I am not trying to second guess the early draft date. I just have no idea what safe guards these leagues have to supplement roster spots when you lose one or more players before the real games even start.
Can you fill us all in?
Thanks.  Since we are limited with commissioner permissions*...What we would do in the case of a player injured in pre-season is to allow you another player off free agent wire.
In order of: injury date/stamp
We will have a few "honor system" Bylaws, which will be enforced or archived if necessary.
As far as draft date. I have set up StonerLeague @ Yahoo.com
I chose the "we will draft offline and submit entries, later". So I will not fill in rosters until after pre-season...in case the above mentioned situation arrised.
Answer your Q? Sending out invites to confirmed players on the List; As soon as I get real emails for league admin invitations!  watch your SF registered email addy for notice from the StonerForumsLeague

*this is where the pay leagues are better. Commissioner could add/subtract, points, players, etc...all throught the year. Even add bylaws to league...

Just a thought. There is alot of work involved for a league that doesn't have $$ involved. I'd suggest using points and yards only. Or alot less things to keep track of. It'll make it easier for the newbies and wont mean alot of analysis for the owners.
All the work is done!...other than the individual team managers setting up there draft order cheatsheets.
Being a "Rookie" in a fantasy football league has it's pitfalls, I had to deal with it, all players have to deal with it. I made this a vertical scoring league so that the scoring of a lot of points would be exciting for the new players.
All the bonus I put in scoring is kept up with by the game software, So all you have to do is play and learn.
