Producing seeds

Hello,

I am pretty much getting set up to grow as soon as I get back home. I have on order some Lowrider 2 which is an auto-flowering strain that stays very small but produces ripe buds in 2 months from seed. The thing is, it does not clone so to keep it going I will need to let one female go to seed every 6 months or so. I have two acres on the south end of the big island of Hawaii and I wonder how far away will I need to keep this one female from the other plants so that only the one goes to seed at a time? Does anyone know this?

Anyone else from Hawaii on this site?

I would say your best bet would be to keep a male or 2 seperate and collect the pollen then just dust the odd bud on your fems to get more seed.

Thanks. I wonder how I would collect the pollen. Maybe carefully put the whole male plant into a garbage bag and keep the whole thing carefully wrapped up. Maybe I could use the same pollen for several batches.

Yes, Just put the male flower in a jar. When you want some seeds, just bust open a male pollen sac and use a small paintbrush to apply some of the pollen to wherever you want seeds. THe male pollen will be good for a long time so you can use it for more than 1 grow.
