Stoner Buck$$: 722.61 | Re: What's the lineage of NL#5?? As far as I know...the #5 means it was back crossed with the next generation 5 times, or that their was a mom/pop...then they grew more nl beans, and crossed it...5 X's
I am sure one of the more experienced breeders can shed light on this. I do not breed much, so I am just rendering my take as far as what I remember, without doing further research. Peace |

Stoner Buck$$: 117.86 | Re: What's the lineage of NL#5?? Cheers mate. I'm def no expert on breeding either but I thought I had read somewhere that it had some sativa in it, and thought it was a bit strange how none of the online seed strain lists mention it when they mention #1, #9 etc.
Cheers. |

Stoner Buck$$: 722.61 | Re: What's the lineage of NL#5?? just read up in the breeding forums. you will eventually find a good thread that explains the F1, F2, C1, C2, C3, and so on. Goodluck
p.s. Since the cultivation boards here have not been totally covered due to youth of forums. Perhaps you might find the info @ howsitgoineh.com
They are a forum full of breeders. Peace |

Stoner Buck$$: 3,925.65 | Re: What's the lineage of NL#5?? well i done a little more looking and i found this at Always 420 :: Marijuana Weed Forums Always 420 Forum
Northern Lights #5
Mostly indica
Origin: Holland
Breeder: Sensi seed bank
Medical: multiple sclerosis
This state of the art Indica is the result of over 20 years of select inbreeding. Bred for vigorous growth, high yield, and superb high. A must for growers who prefer shorth bushy plants. The buds have an extremely frosted. resinous appearance and the yield is high.
Specification: flower 55-65 days - Heigh 2-3" - Sensi Seed Bank Catalog
NL#5 is NL with another plant crossbred, Part indica, part sativa, Grows great outdoors, Flowers quickly and has a pretty good yield. I know a few that have grown it.. Call it the "Christmas tree" bud, the plant looks like one.. Thumbs up to it, it is a great strain -V

Stoner Buck$$: 722.61 | Re: What's the lineage of NL#5?? I did some nl5 x c99 last year. plant was enormous...over 3/4lb off plant in 5 gallon DWC bucket.
So; It mentioned inbreeding. Cool. That is what I was talking about up front. In order for a strain to be stable it has to be backbred, several times.
Good info all. Peace |

Stoner Buck$$: 117.86 | Re: What's the lineage of NL#5?? All i can come accross is original NL from sensi seeds, not the number5. Plenty places sell NL#5xHaze but not plain NL#5. Does anyone know where to buy seeds for this strain if they are still available?? |

Stoner Buck$$: 513.58 | Re: What's the lineage of NL#5?? It seems like i remember reading about this in High Times or some other mag and it is true it is an F1 and I believe there were like 9 or 10 starting plants and they cross bred them back to themselves and the #5 was the best, I think #1 was second or third...not much info but interesting. |

Stoner Buck$$: 102.00 | Re: What's the lineage of NL#5?? Northern Lights #5 is a crossing of a pure Northern Lights male with a Northern Lights(75%)/Thai(25%) female. It was then selectivley bred for 20+ years.
