They're like dogs, but a lot more fun and tiny. They learn commands and tricks like any other pet and I've just fallen in love with them over the past few years. Unfortunately about 8 months ago I had to take one to the vet to get put down (R.I.P. Sebastian) and now I have to take another one because he has a tumor and my oldest boy, Yinny, is turning 3 soon and not doing so hot :( I love rats, but I just wish they lived a little longer... Everytime I take a rat to the vet they charge me $30 and if I want to put them down $25, but I just HATE when people lecture me on "you can buy like 10 rats for that". grrrr... anyway, I'm done. That was the best picture I had of him. I named him Eugene the Killing Machine and he beat the shit out of crickets. He was a "house centipede". Here's a better pic of what they look like:


I had always wanted a house centipede. So I was pretty psyched when I saw it. He's been dead a long time though. I couldn’t see. He would also run into the bush and come back a few moments
later with his tail wagging like crazy. Later that evening we had a visit from the
son of a dear friend of my family and he told us his father had died that morning.
Now a days I wonder if it was the spirit of that friend my dog was playing with
because Ted loved Sundance and one of the things he said in his final days on earth was –
