POOOR THINGS! my friends new plants werent going "as planned" for him and already had some 4' ones growing so he threw these out! I, never having the opportunity to grow indoors, took advantage of this and went and got them out of the dumpster but was about an hour an a half later. i rushed them home where i conveniently had some pots and soil and bought some lights super quick from walmart LUCKILY he dumped the plants out of the pots soil still intact so they werent dead! both plants are lucky to be alive and have obvious issues and id like some opinions of how to help these victims of neglect!

this plant was about five or so inches taller but was snapped when thrown away in the dumpster but youll see..

here is the break! poor thing! but i used this bottle and...

i made my first attempt at cloning! so far so good! i dont know how effective or smart the plastic idea is but i also rigged this..let me know which you think will work better!

i took the clones out of the plastic bag and they started drooping like in the picture! they used to be sticking up at attention for the first 3 days..sad

There both in good shape for being taken out of a dumpster. The left one looks a little fucked.

Good one recueing them.
Seems while ur mate had em he neglectated them and they have streached for the light.
Id advise lstin em,Low Stress Training.Itll help fill your space with more shoots.
Try an train them as low as you can,they love it and will respond well by making new shoots.
Can you get some superthrive of ur buddie?
They could do with some vits and a good general fert.
Frets or food can be important especially as they are your first plant,id reconmend a good brand,atami,bcuzz,GeneralHydroponics,AdvancedNutri ents,something with the correct npk ratiosfor mj.
Once she greens up a bit id put a net in there for the scrog tech for a better use of space.
Have you ventilation in there?
She has been burnt in the past and is showing defficiencys,again a good feed is what they need.
I see you have a hygrometer,do you have means for testing ph,ec?
Pitty the clone didnt make it,what happened?

i wanted to train them..but the main stems are too rigid to move them much..i got some basic ferts but my roomate messes around with the plants [since they are in his closet] and i just hope he doesnt mess anything up ha
if you look on the left in the first pic youll see my fan. it blows alot of air around and i just have the closet door open as much as possible.
im not sure where i can get a cheap ph tester around here..i dont want those paper ones for sure tho.
and happy news..so far my clone is doing amazingly well!
once i put it back in the bag to keep it humid it sprang back!
its been about a week...how long til it will have roots?
is it too late to put it in a peat pellet?

dont put the clone in a peat pod at this time.chances are you will just hault whatever if any progres you have accomplished.I agree that it has been light starved. I agree that training it is the best soultion.you can start to pull that rigid thing down by doing it in baby steps.
I disagree with the whole defficientcy thing.To me it looks to have burnt & curling up leaves a good sign of over feeding.I could be wrong & would like some other growers opinion on this.so i will ask a few to chime in on this to get ya the best results.

i need to take new pics but ive been busy trying to find a cheap hps setup ha
but my left plant seems to have aloooot of new growth doing great
but the main big leaves that were on before seem to be dying off..cut em off?
and if my right plant is wilting after my roomate fed them with ferts, can it be brought back with flushing with clean water or will they just stay wilted and dry =[ [i hate him]

Seems to be alot of if's there if ya ask me.
Sit yer matey down an explain,they are in his closet right?A big risk,if he wants some bud to smoke hell either have to leave em alone completely or write everything down as he does it.Better still tell him to leave alone or premix soloution and leave it for him ph'd,with instructions.

Flush both of them and begin to feed at half strenth and work up.
Your gonna have to feed em yourself or if ur mate knows better let him do it.

Yeah meg a few nanners indeed,innocent though,I allways leave em as long a poss,thanks for the possitive vibes!

good call on all three imho

i only said if once there i think??
but the plant WILL bounce back?
the branches are still nimble and spongy..
i just dont see one livly leaf anymore =[[

and about the older/larger leaves not doing well..cut them?
they are still mostly green but have the rust look on the edges of them
and none of the new growth has any of that

The pic u posted where u think it may be female looks more like its just new growth to me, I have posted pics several times before showing female and male plants, find them and take a good look u will know more what the "hairs look like then.

alot has changed on plant #1!
pretty soon im going to move the boards its on down about 6"
of more veg growth and have about another foot for harvest after[>18" total]

any tips?

Don't bother asking me if we should load another bowl. The anwser is and always will be YES

Tie those babies down ,make some room,take a bit of string loosly around the stem near the top and pull the string downwards till its taut.Take care not to snap.Fasten it to hold plant down.
After a few days she will hold the shape,letting you train them more.
Make sure not to tie knots tight,allowing space for growth around the stem.

yeah im glad these plants were free and injured tho!
it will give me lots of experience for my new sprout =]
its in some nice soil with bloodmeal and is doing well!
i have it in this bottle i rigged and squished the stem!!..but its still growing
it just has a crick in its neck
