Pot Leaf Spots and wilting?

My boyfriend and I germinated a seed recently. He is more experienced than I am, but we are still a little puzzled by what is going on with our little love child.

Basically, she's about 3 weeks old. We are growing her with regular soil (as we can't really afford a hydroponics system right now, sadly), and she's about, oh, 5-6 inches tall.

Just today, her leaves started curling and wilting and if you hold her leaves up to the light, you can see lots of little brown spots forming in at least four of the leaves. We THINK that it's because she was going through such a huge growth spurt and her receptacle wasn't big enough to thrive in. However, the spots are really concerning. We just transferred her to a larger pot tonight and left her with some nice warm lights and classical music playing in the background in hopes that by morning time, her condition will have improved.

However, we just wanted to post something here to see if anyone had ever experienced this before and if there is any way we can make sure that she gets better?

Any suggestions at all would be VERY appreciated.

Thanks for your input in advance!

Re: Spots and wilting?

Well, might need a bit more information. What are the temperature and humidity readings in the area? What kind of pot do you have it in? What kind of lighting are you using? You said it's about 5-6 inches tall, how many leaf pairs does it have?

Pot Leaf Re: Spots and wilting?

I germinated this seed and put in in about 4x4" of dirt and it has two sets of three leaves. In the middle it is sprouting out sets of five already and I've been using good soil and watering it with a miracle grow /water mixture. It looked like it was growing really fast and the leaves looked like they were curling as it was growing. I'm not using any fancy high pressure sodium lights or anything just a 50w fluorescent bulb about a foot over them. The first set of branches above the baby leaves are starting to wilt and dry up. I've heard that we should keep it in a larger pot once it starts leafing. I'm going to go check on it real quick and let you know what else is up with it.

Thanks
