awww...beautiful kitty!

I miss having a cat...but we've got two dogs, two parrots, one budgie and a
bearded dragon....me thinks maybe we've enough going on...ftm

This lil guy was Hamish, my devon rex. He was a real character.

I actually didn't think it was bad at all...I did notice it in that one pic but I always look for it..once upon a time I had a seal-pointed siamese and she squinted too...only alot more

The blue eyes and darker colour points of the breed (and most Siamese derrived breeds) are all traits of a particular type of albinoism. Normally behind the eye the optic nerves will partially cross to keep the gaze of both eyes in the same direction. But with these cats there is much less nerve-crossing than normal and to compensate for this they cross their eyes. Breeders have improved this alot with more selective breeding..but you still see it from time to time.

Still, a gorgeous cat and it doesnt take anything away from that.

that is a very beautiful cat. quirks on animals just make them more special. I had a dog that had one bright blue eye and one white. it was freaky. The cat I have now lays down to eat and if you make him stand up he will walk away (I have pics I will have to load them up), but he will still tear your legs up with his attack games walking through the house.

I actually figured out that his breed is a relatively new breed called Ragamuffin. Their colouring varies widely, so his seal-point just means there's some Siamese-derived genes in there, but he's definitely not Siamese! He weighs in at around 18 lbs and counting his tail he's about 30" long. Hard to believe he was the runt of the litter!

But yeah, he doesn't mind teasing about his crossed eyes. :P

My mom had a cat named Mephistopheles, who had one brown eye and one green eye. Sweetest cat, but MAAAAN his breath stunk. Kind of endearing, though, in a way. He lived to be 24! He was so old, his fur was turning grey.

But I absolutely adore my cat. His name is Postmaster P, and sometimes he likes to lay around in bathtubs.

Ohhh my god.....Birma cats are just so pretty......My next cat will be a smoke maine coon though.
