hi

me n couple of my frnds hav decided to do acid for the 1st time...we hav not tried any drugs other than pot,tobacco n alchohol.

we smoke weed almost everyday from last 3-4months

so i need help to do acid for 1st time...
help me decide

we hav planned to do it next weekend(not 100% SURE WILL DECIDE ON REPLIES HERE)

SO WAT WOULD U GUYS PREFER US TO USE FOR 1ST TIME

I heard tat LSD would be good choice for 1st time as we don get shrooms in my place.

so how much should i hav to get a good enjoyable trip(i don wan to over do it)

one more thing we dont hav any acid heads for our company only 1 guy among us hav done it once but he does not hav all the info needed to do acid...

so will it be safe to do without any experinced guys with us..

please help us guys we need info bout...we hav heard its awesome n want to try it a few times....peace

Acid is definitely a substance to be careful with. I'd advise you to take one hit (at least to start with--maybe go to two if you are feeling very unsatisfied after an hour and a half or so), and you will probably want at least one person who isn't on acid around (not always necessary by any means, but I sure was glad I had a relatively sober friend around the first time I tripped).

Remember: Set and Setting are the two most important things to consider when using psychedelics. Your mindset should be good going into a trip--do not worry or be anxious about how the trip is going to go, and don't be afraid of what might happen. Also, do it when you don't have any major worries that can distract you or lead to fear/anxiety. Setting: do the drug in a setting conducive to tripping. The most important aspect is doing it in a place where you won't have to worry about being discovered by authority or about your odd behavior being questioned--in short, somewhere you don't have to worry about reality. Also, access to music is nice, but going out into a natural environment (think a forest or something along those lines) is even better. EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot something very important: the best setting is where you feel safe and comfortable. That's the overriding principle.

P.S. Erowid.org has some very good "trip guides" that I would recommend at least skimming through.

P.P.S. It's worth noting that on my first trip, my only source of anxiety was being anxious about trying not to be anxious--so don't do it.

P.P.P.S. the most important part of set is not getting "stuck"--not concentrating on one thing to the exclusion of all else or allowing panic to rise up and overwhelm one. This is one of the main reasons a sitter is a good idea--having someone there to tell you that you aren't going insane, it'll end eventually, and that it really is all right can be very helpful. I find that getting up and moving around, or simply turning my head, is enough to make the world feel completely new and unstick myself, but YMMV.

thanks for the info i'l go through erowid....i'l try to hav a guy around us without doing acid...so would u say lsd would be good...

also i heard tat taking ativan tablets can cancel the trip of acids if its getting toooo high n uncontrollable

is it true? should i hav a ativan tab as backup?

IMO you only need a trip sitter if you trip hard, but i guess since youve never tripped you don't know if you will or not lol. I would say shrooms are a smarter place to start, just because the "profound realizations" you have on shrooms don't usually (at least for me) stick with you permanently. A strong acid trip will change you, for better or worst, but most likely the better.

Acid's hit or miss though. First time i took it i had 2 sugar cubes, which i later found out was essentially 4 hits. INCREDIBLE time, life changing. i took too little another time and it was kind of a bummer; not a bad trip, just boring...but i was burnt out all the time then and honeslty a little depressed.

start with one, and if in 90 minutes to 2 hours your not satisfied take another, it good to test the water before jumpin in lol. i know 2 kids that took twice as much as they should because the acid ended up being way too strong and, honestly, that can be freaky to watch.

turn on, though, is the point of all this. just don't start your relationship with acid off poorely. knew a girl that had a half ass trip the first time and was like "i dont really wanna do it again, it was just like bein high"

smythie i kno u r good experinced guy so i wanted to inform u tat i m afraid of mind loops after doing acids...

i live with parents so i don wan them to c me in some mind loops(can happen for 1 month) n freak out

yea but mind loops only happen if you take way too much. I'm living with my parents, but i'm only considering tripping while they're on vacation or if i go to a festival or some how spend a few days away from home.

most people will never get mind loops, but its a possibility if you wanna trip sack. alot of people take 1 hit of blotter, and that wont really give you a chance of experiencing one but it might be too mellow to really call a "trip"

you shouldnt be scared to do it, because i think almost everyone should try it. Out of any drug that people call "mind expanding" acid really is the most. Most people i know become happier, more creative, and more objective after taking it and i've heard that small doses can actually increase your IQ. Dont be scared off, just be careful is all i'm saying

Haaha, one or two hits for your first time is not going to twack you out for a month. If you do a lot and crack your back you can trip for short periods of time (which is fun as shit).

But its not scary, its all about mindset and environment. If you go an scared of the drug it will consume you and you wont be able to control it, just have fun and go with it, let your mind go and experience it.

Personally i would choose acid over mushrooms anyway because i hate have a terrible stomach and mushrooms is food poison to me.

But have fun with it, be careful, and smoke a lot

As bad as this sounds, it's a funner experience when everyone around you is tripping balls too.

That's just me. Lol.

i think the reason this works is partially placebo effect mixed with hppd (hallucinogen persisting perceptive disorder), although i heard its only called hppd when its bad. I feel like i'm tripping out some times, not in an outta control way but a in a perceptual way, just when i listen to certain songs or feel especially zen for whatever reason. Basically, when i really wanna feel elevated i can and i think those who truly believe that cracking their back will trip them out will experience it.

fact is though, LSD does not crystalize once in your body and stay in your spinal chord. its eliminated a few hours after taking it completely. which makes it even more amazing because it just sets in motion a chain of events in your brain, the trip is already in your head the acid just makes your brain begin the process

Hey i have a question about acid as well

is acid anything like a DXM trip? i had tried DXM about a week ago and it wasnt very pleasent, should i wait till i can handle DXM before i try acid?

The best advice i can give to anyone wanting to try acid is to be in a good state of mind at the time of taking your dose and only do one trip for your first time once you start tripping and think you can handle it take another half a trip do not do anymore than that.

First time i took acid was at a rave i had one trip to start off with i got about 2-3 hours into my trip and took another full trip in a 24 period that i was awake and raving i had taken about 5-6 trips plus one drop of liquid acid and it took me over a year to recover everyday for a whole year i was getting really bad flashbacks seeing colors all the time i can shut my eyes and still see colors and patterns to this day.

acid is a wonderful drug when used right but when abused it will ruin your mind so anyone out there that is going to try acid or wants to try it DO NOT abuse it for your own sake.

in the most faintest way it can be A LITTLE like a strong 2nd platuea or weak 3rd but you have much more energy and it doesnt have a distant feeling. I bet most people would say its nothing like it though, and thats pretty true

dxm is pretty predictable as in it is always the same sort of feelings. Acid can be random, has better euphoria, much more of a creativity enhancer...oh yea and dxm doesnt make you feel better for a month after you take it too...

dxm is shit as far as trips go, not really psychedelic at all...i used to do it all the time and it can be fun, but not that comparable

my friend got fried a little and was in a mind loop for a month. another was for a few hours which isnt that bad. I know one kid who hoolahooped (barely ate or did anything else) the entire 3 days at a festival.

its like dynamite: it can be used to create brand new bridges and wonderful structures but it can also be used to destroy great things

moderation is key. it isnt the acid that fucks you up but your own mind. if you can stay sane and still trip absolute sack all the better, but be careful shrooms cant really compare the intensity of lsd
