i just want to make shure i have a good trip, im not paranoid il have a bad one because thats prob bad lol, but i just want it to be epic lol

the mind loop thing is the only frightening thing IMO. the kid i know who took 20 had a form of a mind loop (he would pretend to drop his glasses and say "oops i dropped my glasses" as a joke many times in a day) for a month or so but eventually went away, but he really abused it along with ecstasy.

but i've never heard of someone in a mind loop on shrooms, which made me realize how much different and special acid is

Oh boy, havent compiled the grand list in a while. Well, here goes!

Drugs I have taken:
Alcohol - Who doesn't like a beer every now and then

Tobacco - Not the biggest fan, but I do occasionally smoke cloves, cigars, or spliff's.

Marijuana - Mary Jane is always my best girl

Hashish - Holy fuck I love smoking hash. Its like all the best parts of pot from a couple of hits. Everything feels golden!

Opium(smoked) - Languid and relaxing, a good way to unwind but I wouldn't do it all the time.

Salvia(smoked) - Goodbye universe, hello hands who sing my thoughts

DXM(Robitussin) - Couldn't feel my face. Laid in the dark watching glowing blue squares float across my ceiling. Visuals were pretty mild, but the body effects were weird. Lots of numbness and a general reptilian feel about everything.

Cocaine(smoked and snorted) - Smoked just gave a speedy effect to a bowl of weed, not much else. Snorted it was like the powder went up my nose, hit my brain, and my consicousness just kept going flying out the back of my head. Intense speedy effects and powerful euphoria. I caution against its use however, as I have seen people become incredibly addicted to it because of the sharp dropoff of euphoric effects. Also makes you babble like an idiot.

Heroine(snorted) - Combined with smoking a bowl, just chills you out a ton. Mild euphoria. Fairly benign way to use one of the most demonized drugs out there.

LSD - Consciousness expansion dropped on a tiny peice of paper(and once on some altoids!). A contender for favorite psychedelic substance I have taken.

LSA(morning glory seeds) - I found the effects to be fairly weak and not worth the effort.

Amanita Muscaria mushrooms - Same with the morning glory seeds, weak effects. I was not impressed.

Psilocybin Mushrooms - The other contender for favorite psychedelic. I love shrooms, as evidenced by the ones currently growing in my closet

Hydrocodone(Vicodin) - Was given a prescription after I got my wisdom teeth out. When used as directed, helped me sleep for a couple of days while my mouth healed, and later when used at above my directed, gave minor euphoria and an overall chilled out effect.

Amphetamines(Adderol, and other presciption drugs) - A personal friend of mine, helps me when I spend to much time smoking weed and not enough time on schoolwork.


Of these drugs, I would probably do them all again under the right circumstances(otherwise I probably wouldn't have done them in the first place ). I don't think any drug has the power to 'make' you into a junkie or a burnout. People do that to themselves, the drugs are just a vector IMHO.

#1 drug I would like to do: DMT!

true. i had problems with drugs a few years ago but it was completely my own fault. i'm kinda an obsessive person so once i got into a pattern of having drugs to give me something to wake up for in the day it was hard to shake. now that i have "matured" in a sense i can do them from time to time and i'm usually not tempted to shake off the come down with more.

It's awesome that you care about people. You ought to consider that every person, everywhere in the world, is different. Different minds, different constitutions and very different abilities to deal with chemical experience and compulsion. You're an angel for wanting to keep innocent lives from being lost. Also from trying to lead a stray back to the flock. However, not all those who wander are lost (thanks Tolkien). Some of us want to see the outer limits of human experience. Sure there are other ways to do this, years of meditative practice for example. We don't all have the time to open up that way. . . As strange as that sounds. If someone who uses a substance, does so with moderation and an awareness of themselves, life will go on. I'm not raggin' on you either. That's just my skewed and biased opinion. ((It bears a marked resemblance to many other opinions) not so much in what we believe, just that they, opinions, are plentiful and crazy. . .)

And what exactly do you base this on if you don't mind me asking? Something you heard in the media(because they're sooooo trustworthy)? Perhaps some life experience?

Could you accept that we may have just as many if not more sources of knowledge about drug use than you?

I know my own limits, and I'm not destroying myself or anyone else with my experimentation because of my knowledge of those limits. By making these blanket condemnations of substances you arbitrarily find to be too dangerous for anyone to handle, you sound a lot like the drug warriors who condemn us all for smoking a little bud.

Not to come off too harsh though, I'm sure we all appreciate your concern anne, however misplaced it might be.

My brother and his wife burnt to death in a 7 alarm fire, News Year Eve, out on smack. All their $$ was gone, they were huddled around a space heater. Their 3 minor children watched in horror on TV. Dont believe me?? Ill get my friebd Graaywolf to help me upload the newspaper story. Peter was wonderful, loving, abd he was just snorting it.. Ill never get hooked he told us. Do you know how that hurts??? It will never heal. It so changed them. I also have 3 nephews on smack...prison, rehab. Im not trying to be judgemental or mean... Im only trying to save you, and sadly, those you will leave behind. PLEASE PLEASE THINK TWICE AND HARD, Ill never get over Peter, he had a great job too...

He wasn't talking about using heroin, he was talking about hallucinogens, two very different things. I'm sorry for your loss, but it has clearly skewed your view of these substances and their users.

I also have known people who have completely fucked up their lives, to the detriment of themselves and their loved ones, by abusing 'hard' drugs. By the same token, I have seen people who have been weekend worriers with heroin for months before quitting for one reason or another.

Blanket condemnations are not the answer. Your sentiment is appreciated, but your view on this matter is too narrow.

ok well as long as you have good intentions . i used to be a speeding train heading for a cliff, but i got past that partly due to my experience with those (although i know it was mostly me). i know my limitations and i know what has caused me problems and what hasn't.

thanks for your concern though, it makes me feel loved. and aside from my inability to get a job my life is pretty on track. lol you might say "what does he have then" but i'm still in college so it isnt too critical yet, except that right now i feel kinda like a leech to my parents. plus i dont have the money to do too many fun things right now

im not sure if your refering to just me. but the only "drugs" i do now is smoke pot. occasionally some adderall for homework but that makes me feel depressed so i usually avoid it. and occasionally a trip. i'm pretty sure i don't need NA. on a weekly basis the only "drug" i use is weed maybe like 2 or 3 times.

i know people who have fucked their heads up because of too much acid and e, but they went way overboard doing it every week.

LSD is 100% non addictive, although it can rewire your brain in strange ways.

I have known very few true "addicts" except pot heads, if you want to name names. i knew one kid addicted to dexedrine though, and one kid to mdma. that's really all

i'm terribly sorry to here that, but i don't think i fall into this category. i knew one person who was in methadone treatment but i never really knew him close. i have witnessed almost no hard drug use in my life, except coke once.

Apart from the herb, I've taken only ecstasy and shrooms, and the only other drug now that I would take is LSD, which I do want to try at some point.
