It was a kind of a personal moment for me and when I read it back I felt a lil selfconscious that maybe I'd personalised it too much on this thread - hence the edit....but ty for your kind words. It was special.
Yesterday we set off for Rath Lugh....everyone met up at Tara and headed to the site of the destroyed henge (bulldozed by the NRA last December). The weather was awful, sleat and rain....so we only numbered 23.
Over 300 white crosses were placed on the site in remembrance of the rebels hung at soldiers hill in 1798. It was a somber occasion as we stood hand in hand in a circle and asked Brigid and all who have gone before us for some much needed help.

High Court challenge to Gormley on M3 site
Irish Daily Mail
6 February 2008
by Paul Caffrey
ENVIRONMENT Minister John Gormley faces a potentially embarrassing High Court challenge over a decision made by his predecessor to allow the M3 motorway to be built over an historic site near the Hill of Tara.
The Green TD claimed when he came to office last June that he was powerless to over-turn a last-minute order made by outgoing Environment Minister Dick Roche for 2,000 year old ruins discovered last year near the Hill of Tara to be destroyed to make way for the M3.
The civil suit is being taken by one Gordon Lucas a resident of Limerick, who is seeking to enforce EU Environmental Assessment directives and the European Convention on Human Rights.
Mr Lucas, who filed his Statement of Claim with with court officials yesterday, is seeking an injunction and a declaration that the National Monuments Act 2004 is in breach of EU law.
He is taking his case against the Environment Minister, the National Roads Authority, the State and the Attorney General.
Last night, opposition politicians and environmental campaigners said the High Court action signals fresh embarrassment for Mr Gormley, and only highlights his failure to stand by his priniciples sinec entering Government with Fianna Fail.
In a turbulent first day in office last June, Mr Gormley declared he had no authority to revoke his predecessor's order, despite his commitment to protecting heritage.
But Labour's Eamon Gilmore claimed the Minister could reverse the decision, citing section 22 of the Interpretation Act 2005.
Fine Gael's Fergus O'Dowd made the damning charge against the Green Party chairman back then that the reason he had not done it was because he was politically emasculated by his new Fianna Fail masters.
Former Environment Minister Dick Roche signed an order last year which allowed the archaeological site to be studied and then destroyed to make way for the motorway.
Last night, Fine Gael TD Fergus O'Dowd launched a stonging attack on Mr Gormley, saying that his 'credibility is zero at this stage'. and that he 'stands for nothing'.
Campaign group TaraWatch, which is demanding that the site be preserved says the case is being taken as a last resort, after the Government opted not to perform a new environmental impact assessment on the proposed demolition of the Lismullin national monument. GOD BLESS YOU GORDON LUCAS

Stoner Buck$$: 1,068.45 My Mood : | Re: Save Tara Protests Winter 2007 report The Tara Foundation Megalithic Stone Discovered near Hill of Tara
a megalithic stone with artwork similiar to those found at the monuments in the boyne valley has been discovered at the lismullen henge, near the hill of tara. The Lismullen Henge
the lismullen national monument is at least 2000years old. the structure consists of 2 circular enclosures, the largest 80m in diameter. it lies directly in the path of the m3 motorway. Background to Lismullen
when lismullen was discovered, one day after the m3 motorway was officially launched, works were temporarily halted and it was declared to be a national monument. the former minister for the environment dick roche issued an order of preservation by record. The Demolition of Lismullen
preservation by record is not proper excavation. it consists only of photographing and measuring a site by NRA archaeologists. lismullen was to be handed over to the NRA contractor, SIAC for outright demolition on jan 8th to make way for the m3 motorway. Breaking News about Lismullen
it has been reported that the lismullen national monument has already been secretly handed over to SIAC before christmas. the demolition may already have begun. The Lismullen Amphitheatre
dr.ronald hicks of ball state university indiana usa, stated that;
lismullen is comparable to ceremonial enclosures found at tara and other royal sites in ireland. but it is twice as large as any other. the site is in a natural hollow to form an ancient amphitheatre. The Importance of Lismullen archaeology, a publication of the archaeological institute of america, has listed lismullen as being among the top 10 discoveries in the world in it's jan/feb 2008 issue. 52-acre interchange planned for Tara
a 52-acre interchange will be located 1.2 km from the hill of tara. the blundelstown interchange will consist of two giant orbital roundabouts, flyovers, and four slip roads with adjacent roadways. Estimated cost of the m3 motorway todate;
between 850,000 and 1 billion euro. Four Motorways for Meath
The m1 motroway illegally impinges on the boyne valley world heritage site. the n4 will be upgrraded to motorway grade in meath. another motorway the m2 is planned for the far side of skryne, just a few miles from the m3. Tara Endangered
the world monuments fund has placed the hill of tara on their one hundred most endangered sites list for 2008. Incinerator Next To The Boyne Valley
construction is to begin early next year on an incinerator with a projected capacity of 200,000 tonnes in carrenstown co.meath, directly adjacent to the boyne valley. the incinerator will have a chimney stack 65 metres high and will be visible from the boyne valley.

as i was watching and listening to the first video, i couldn't help but notice that the overhead shot of Save Tara Valley shows some elevations in the ground. if you look at them quickly it looks like a huge footprint above and slightly to the right of the words on the ground. almost as if a Higher Power has put a footprint right there.
SAVE TARA...........its ancestoral history affects so many of us globally
