I attended the show last night ... Van was accompanied by a 10 piece band, and Van himself also chipped in with harmonica and sax ... It was a very good show ... The music was a mix of blues / jazz / country ... and the night had a Roy Orbison feel to it ..... the show lasted about 90 minutes ..
There was something special about listening to the legendary Morrison in the very comfortable, sold-out, acoustic Boston Opera house. The mostly middle-aged crowd was polite and appreciative.
The only disappointment in this type of show, is that you don't come close to hearing all of his great songs ... there are just too many ...
Much respect to a great songwriter and performer

Sounds like a great show. Can't get any better than intimate entertainment with great acoustics.

Yes, I did see James Taylor many many years ago at Tanglewood, now that is a GREAT venue in the Berkshires, ... it seems like forever ago ... it definitely was a different time ... He is actually returning to Tanglewood this year ....
Concerts are my passion .... I've been to sooo many .... and they all are special ... There are way too many to list ... but I can talk about them forever .... rock, folk, punk, pop, new wave ... from Alice Cooper to the Spice Girls and everything in between.

I would give just about anything to take a blanket and spread it out on the grass with a couple of fat doobs at a James Taylor concert.
