So i just got Metallicas new album today and im loving it, ive listend to it atleast 5 times over and over. I give it a 4.5/5 rating. My fav songs of the album is "Broken, Beat & Scared" "The End of the line".

What are your guys thoughts on it??

It is a great album. I enjoy it very much!!!!!
I really like "The day that never comes" and "unforgven III"
Metallica is awesome. I can't wait to play more of them on Guitar Hero 4! WOOT TOOT!

Thats awesome. My boyfriend went out and pre-ordered the whole Guitar Hero 4 kit the other day too... I am so stoked It is going to be awesome. Have a toke and rock out in your own house. WOO.
There is no Death Magnetic on Guitar Hero 3 though... the song 'One' is the last and hardest song on the game... but it isn't from Death Magnetic. I wish.

I find myself pretty disappointed by the new album. Unforgiven 3 is an awsome song IMO (though I'm not sure why it's even titled as such, it bears no resemblance to the other two), but that's pretty much it for me. At first I thought "Wow! This is shaping up to be an amazing album!", and burned a copy a week before it's release. Then I throw it on and it's like "hmmm, I'm gonna skip this song. Skip this song, skip this song, skip this song.... oh wait, I'm out of songs!"

A lot of the songs are very choppy, constantly changing tempo while failing to blend. Not to mention Hetfield's vocals have clearly weakened, and Lars still sounds like he's hitting buckets. Honestly, why can't he listen to his drumming in Ride the Lightning and go "oh yeah, that's what good drums sound like!"? And then in most songs the drums just go "DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH" in a repetetive and boring fassion.

I'll state for the record, btw, that I've never been a member of the Metallica-hating crowd; they were the first metal band I got into in fact.

Lucky you, getting the whole kit, ll just get the guitar to start with, and you can get death magnetic on guitar hero 3 if you have Xbox live or PSN(dunno what console you have) but you can get the whole album plus a bonus song and its sick!!All nightmare long is the best song to jam..

i liked it even tho it sounded like new metallica, covering old metallica
il giv it 3.9 out of 5, so its better than BlackAlbum onwards but not quite as excellent as 80s metallica
the only dissapointment was unforgiven iii, aside from not having anything in common with the other 2 unforgivens i just found it to be underwhelming. thats just my opinion tho
