Ok, I'll probably take a lot of shit for posting this from music fans who think they are critics..but I just had to share this guys music with you. He's worked with many rap and country stars, including ludacris, bonecrusher, brantley gilbert (amazing singer/songwriter) and john micheal montgomery.
A few people have tried to cross hip-hop and country, including Toby Keith, Tim McGraw and Nelly, and even Akon is making a country album believe it or not. But nothing comes even close to what Colt Ford has done, and being an unsigned artist doing small shows, he is starting to EXPLODE..with well over 4000 plays a day on his myspace site he is making it clear that he has accomplished successfully mixing hip-hop and rap.
I must say if you're not country or from the south, you probably won't get it..though we won't hold it against ya'll.
So get baked and take a listen, and remember to SPIT THAT COUNTRY!
