Hi Everyone -
I hope you'll listen to my song, as it's called "A Friend With Weed" I'm sure you'll at least give it a try.
This is more than just a party song, this has a serious message, summed up in the second verse "You can't ban a plant, you haven't got the right / What makes you think you can ban a plant? / If doctors say it's medicine, who are you to disagree with them ? / In the Bible God says that we can / So we take the law into our own hands." Hell yeah. Writing that just now makes me proud. I think everyone should hear this song and this message should be spread. Look at those lyrics, what is your argument against that? What fat corrupt politician has any right to declare ownership of a spceies of plant that comes from the Earth? That's ridiculous! I made a catchy song to spread this message and I did not dance around it.
This was recorded at a professional studio with professional musicians, producer, and engineer, and when I say professional I mean Top 40 and beyond (you've heard 'em), that caliber. No boasting, you'll see, all I did was write the damn thing and then let the really talented people do the work.
This song came to me when I was walking in the woods far from any piano or paper. But I knew it could be simple enough that I could memorize it so I sang it all the way back and wrote the words. I sat on it for a year and then it came out exactly the same as I had heard it except I changed the second verse which I'm glad I did. This was real inspiration like artists describe. I've written a lot of stuff but this is the only thing I care about and that I really care if anybody hears or not. I really think you'll enjoy it, please listen and let me know what you think.
