I think commercialized rap basically killed hip hop.....I miss the old days when the music was good and the message said something.....not that today's rap isnt good, it just feels like uhh yeah This dude rapped about the same thing as that dude and they hate each other blah blah.
I miss old rap like Big Daddy Kane, KRS-One, NWA, Old school Snoop and Dre, old school Ice Cube, LLCoolJ, Das Efx, and many others in that era, most of today's stuff is just....bland in my opinion.....I cant hear the lyrics in your songs but the beats are good and remind me of some of the good ol days |
Thanks man. I appreciate it. I know exactly what you mean about hip hop and rap nowadays, Lack of originality and just... love for the music, seems like hip hop just revolves around money and not love/talent. Saying that though, there is still alot of good hip hop around these days thats still fresh, its just harder to dig thru all the crap to find it. Do you know any uk hip hop? You should check out some UK beat makers such as Lewis parker, Evil Ed, DJ IQ, Jehst, Skitz. It seems like UK is alot more 'hip hop' than America now, in the sense that its more underground and only being made out of love, not for the cash.
Anyway, thanks again man.
