The bad boys of Suburban Noize Records returned to the stage for The Heavy Hitters Tour 2008-headlining the show, (hed) p.e. and Kingspade also featuring Subnoize Souljaz and Insolence. An array of fans showed up for their show at the Gothic Theater in Denver, CO. A younger crowd, some with their faces painted, gathered for the show with intentions of partying and making a nice mosh pit. Stoners Reekin Havoc!
Dirtball and Big B of SubNoize Souljaz hit the stage and rocked the crowd with their songs "White Trash Renegade" and "Droppin Bombs". These guys know how to party!
The Notorious duo Johnny Richter and D-Loc hit the stage as Kingspade, after a long microphone check by the Antihero TAXMAN
. The guys took a break from their normal counter cultural music with the Kottonmouth Kings and instead took it back to their roots of Orange County. They still kept their political outlook and involve it in a lot of the songs, a killer mix of head bobbin hip-hop.The one that really got me dancing was DJ Bobby B, spinning for over a decade now. He kept the beats going throughout the night and works the vinyl like no other!
(hed) P.E. aka (hed) Planet Earth, deliver an intriguing mix of punk rock, hip hop, jazz, reggae, heavy metal, and thrash. As you watch vocalist Jared Gomes take over the stage with great energy, its hard to believe you are listening to the same band. Their performance was full of major attitude, which is heavily infectious. I found myself jamming to the beat a few songs in, which gets pretty heavy at times! Jared rants about politics and sell out bands in between songs, which I find keeps it interesting.
The set was pretty basic, which is unusual for most Suburban Noize concerts. The Kottonmouth Kings and Tech N9ne seem to always have an array of eye candy on stage. The night ended with a room full of sweaty enthusiasts, including Jared, who gets a definite work out on stage during his performance. Which I would call PSYCHOTIC !!
The Tour continues on until March 1st 2008, where it ends in Ventura, CA. Don't miss out on the Suburban Noize
4/20 Xperience in Anaheim, CA 4-20-2008 featuring the Kottonmouth Kings w/ Hed PE, the Expendables, and the Dirtball!
