aesop rock is good but if you think hes the best rapper out there then you must not listen to a lot of hip-hop. the best song aesop rock has done is with Del Tha Funkee Homosapien you should check it out. also check out Hieroglyphics and Opio Lindsey, and Casual - Smash Rockwell, and Tajai, A-Plus, Phesto-Dee, Pep Love. the entire Souls Of Mischief Crew. and cant forget about OC.
Check out St Cloud Minnesota based Hydrophonics.....I saw them in concert a few times and they sure can keep a crowd going.
When Ludacris came and performed here, they opened for him, when his plane was delayed due to storms, they kept the crowd going, then when Luda's DJ missed the flight, Hydrophonics DJ stepped up to the plate. I'm not a big hip hop fan but I like these guys.
Whats better than a rap group that promotes pot in their very name? I went to one of their concerts once, and NORML has a table set up in the back .
If thats the case...Minneapolis based (notice how most of my bands I suggest are from MN? lol) Flipp and Wookiefoot would be awesome too.
Wookiefoot I've seen in concert, they're rap/rock/jazz fusion type of band....they have fire dancers (HOT HOT HOT) and they often refer to munchies and mary jane.
Flipp I've seen in concert ONCE, I wasnt even able to get into the main room for the concert. They sell out in our town everytime they perform....However being in the loft of the venue they played....I was able to catch a blunt. They usually throw rolled joints and blunts to the crowd every once in a while. They smoke on stage, their opening consists of all members toking from a hookah before starting.....I dunno if they do it everywhere but they did it for us.
Now MN passed a law, no smoking in bars, I think they're gonna leave Minnesota

Yea, Rockford cops have become dicks about that sort of thing lately, but not so long ago people could get away with stuff like that at concerts. They actually patted me down on my way into the KK concert, which seemed silly, since I was blazed out of my mind(me and my friend has just hotboxed a blunt in my car on the way there). The best part is, we made our entrance to one of the opener bands cover of 'fuck the police'. We felt like badasses.

I shoved a pipe down my socks on the way into a Static X-Powerman 5K concert.....as we walked in the opening band was playing that song that the ICP sang....one with the F word in it 93 times or something. So I got patted down and every other word was F this F that LOL.
Got blazed at Staind-KoRn and that was awesome.

kmk is ok if you like listening to the same songs over and over again. cause thats pretty much what everyone of their songs is just a copy of the last song they made with a new beat.

If thats true...wouldn't they be classified as a Techno band? (yeah I know lame joke)
