| Eastern Promises
I'm kind of a movie "snob" these days ... I won't waste my time on a movie that compromises itself just to get people in the theater. I guess I have just seen too many average movies, over-davertised and dumbed down ... anyway
I thought Eastern Promises was a very well made film, that made no compromises ... the violence was brutal, the plot very tight with a few twists, and excellent cinematography .
This David Cronenberg film about the Russian mafia set in London stars Naomi Watts and Viggio Mortensen, and is not for the faint of heart.
